It's been nearly 2 months since Stemler has looked good, his scoring average has dropped to only about 5ppg and he is hitting a woeful 25% from 3-point in Big Ten games.
Against the Illini, Stemler saw only 4 minutes to close out the 1st half and spare anyone else an extra foul before halftime, he barely touched the ball, and has a stat line that reads:
22 Stemler, L 4 minutes 0 0-0 0-0 0-0 0 0-0 0 0 0 0
He never again reentered the game, and you have to wonder if Kelvin Sampson any longer has any faith in him.Onward and Upward!
