I think our door was shut today when Purdue and Kansas St won. Insult to injury was added when Xavier and Nevada both layed down (the way SIU was supposed to...j/k). Illinois put the final nail in the BU coffin. It was a good run, and a fun week. I thought we had a real shot, and we did. The ball just didn't bounce our way today, much like it didn't bounce our way against Illinois, Missouri St at home, UNI at home, and against SIU last Saturday. I hope we get a good draw in the NIT, and hope that we take this as seriously as the NCAA's. I would love to make an appearance in NYC.

I don't see why the Bradley players would not take this seriously. They knew it was going to be tough to repeat our accomplishments of last year. So hopefully we'll get a seed that gives us a good shot of at least a couple of home games, and hopefully we'll do some damage in the NIT.

Also, for those of us that don't get ESPNU, ESPN2 is simulcasting the NIT Selection show at 8 PM Central. Nice to see it accessible to all so I don't have to hunt around on the radio or internet to see when we will be playing.

I also hope for a game or two on one of the main ESPN networks. That would be nice considering how our coverage has increased this year!

I think BU would take the NIT very seriously.

I know we're out, and have accepted that reality. But I really want to know what on our resume is keeping us off the bubble and out of the tournament. Please don't tell me record v the top 50, because we have as many top 50 wins Louisville, Texas A & M, Air Force, West Virginia, Drexel, and until totday, Kansas St. We have a better SOS than all of those teams, and a better non-conference SOS than all of them but Drexel. People keep saying that's the biggest thing (and some say only thing) keeping us out of the tournament. Well then why doesn't it matter for Louisville or Texas A & M? Louisville and A & M are locks with lesser schedules and as many top 50 wins. Go figure.

.......even I now think we have little or no chance.

.........but I still hold out a sliver of hope. Say your prayers this weekend

Bradley Brave is right but those teams are from the so called power conferences; I was thinking NIT after the SIU loss as I felt we needed to win that game to make it to the NCAA like we did last season against Wichita in the semi"s.

If I have to watch the NIT, then I hope we win the whole damned thing.

To be quite honest this is very likely.
