This article is pretty neat:

It talks about how the selection committee works, but the coolest thing about the article is that it claims to be reproducing an example of a data sheet that the committee will use to evaluate teams.

Nice article, I found it pretty informative. I still say the selection should be blind, I mean any moron could tell based on the conference games if the s schedule there, but there has to be a way to making seeding more fair.

The way it's described in the article it seems very very fair... but who knows how accurate the article is. Made me feel better about things though since our non-conference SOS is 16 and our record was 9-3 (I think).
