JL was on ESPN radio last night making his case why BU should be in & did a pretty good job. Then after the interview, the ESPN host went on to say that in a "blind" rvw of NCAA resumes, BU would be better than W. Virginia & K-State, but that based on their conference affiliations, the other schools would likely get in first because, "that's just the way it is". That would explain why only 2 MVC teams are in Lunardi's ESPN bracket this morning. Their BCS bias is showing even though, as of the moment the MVC is the 5th ranked conference in the NCAA.
I don't think W. Virginia should be in ahead of BU or MSU. W. Virginia has a worse RPI Top 100 record than either BU or MSU. K-State does not get in if they lose to Texas Tech.

If one or both of these teams do get in, then the BCS bias has penetrated even the selection committee.

For better or worse, the song that I've had stuck in my head for the last week is ...

"You Should Be Dancin'" by the Bee Gees.

Either make it stop or make it happen, someone, please ...

I will be hoping for a bid, but the realist in me sees it not happening, if another team in the mvc to go it would most likely be mo st, since they beat us twice. anyone think that BU deserves it over Mo st? w/o the biasness we all hold?

No, I don't think we deserve it over Mo St. But I think we both deserve to be in. Our league is as tough as any of the BCS leagues. The only thing that separates them from us, is that some of them have a national title contender. SIU is a great team, but I don't know that they're at the level of Ohio St, Florida, or UNC. That being said, I think that SIU could give any of those teams all they could handle.

Stop torturing yourselves guys/girls. I mean Bee Gee tunes .

We AIN'T in..PERIOD. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but we "blew it'. UNI/MSU at home or SIU at the Lou...gimme ONE of those and we are CLOSE if not IN.

With that said we can't be too dissapointed. Not a one of us (unless you're a liar ) thought it was possible, heck the NIT was a dream to many.

BU has played better then expected and in the process has teased us with being on the bubble but too far on the wrong side..not that theres anything wrong with that but I hope not getting in isn't too much of a letdown when the NIT comes calling.

            Desrve it..YES...get it...no.

Dogs, you are usually not the 'voice of reason', but rather the rosey-red optimist. This is out of character for you! I don't think we're getting in either but can't we dream? I guess this is the Cub fan in me coming out.

I've been drinking the Cubs kool-aid on the rocks every spring, so I might as well toast one to the Braves and see what happens..

I think both BU and Mo St should be in, record withstanding, we all know the competition that presents itself in the mvc. do I think it will happen, no, but might as well still hold on to that hope.

That won't be a letdown for me. I will be let down however if we get a 4 seed or worse. We should be a 2 seed at worst, preferrably a 1 seed!

All I can say is if BU does not make it, at the very least MSU should be in.
