There have been previous threads about how well Jim Les seems to be able to spot talent. It seems like Bradley gets the most out of the recruits they sign. But even the kids Coach Les recruits that go elsewhere seem to do pretty well. Here are a few names that have appeared on Bradley's recruit list--
Mike Rose- This may be a name many don't know. But the Bradley coaches recruited Mike Rose of Neaqua Valley HS for a couple years but backed off when we signed Ray Brown. They are similar players. Rose is a 6'3" shooting guard who went to Eastern Kentucky of the Ohio Valley Conference. He was named Co-Freshman of the year last year, and this year he has lead the EKU Colonels to the championship of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament over Austin Peay, and an NCAA bid. Mike Rose had 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead them to the title win yesterday, and was named the MVP of the tournament for his outstanding performance.

Another 2005 recruit was Tommy Liddell. He signed with St. Louis and has been their best player as a freshman and a soph.
In 2006, Bradley came close to getting Osiris Eldridge, who was named Freshman of the Year in the MVC for Illinois State.
Romaine Martin-- Also in 2006, Bradley recruited Romaine Martin of Minneapolis North HS. He is a 6'3" shooting guard. Bradley signed Andrew Warren, and backed off Martin. Martin signed with another Ohio Valley school, Eastern Illinois. Though EIU had a bad season, and finished 10th in the bad Ohio Valley Conference, Romaine Martin lead them with a 14.8 ppg scoring average, and was named Co-Freshman of the Year in the OVC.
Roy Bright- Bradley recruited Roy Bright a year ago, and thought they had a committment from him. But he decided to go to Delaware State. He averaged 15.2 ppg, and 5 rpg to help lead DSU easily win the regular season title of the weak Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They will begin play Wednesday in their conference tournament for a chance at an NCAA bid. Despite a 19-11, 16-2 record, DSU has to win their tournament to get an NCAA bid. The MEAC is nearly the lowest rated conference in Div I, and DSU's RPI is 123.
Marcus Sikes- Another juco recruit of Bradley's last year was Marcus Sikes. He signed with Cincinnati and new coach Mick Cronin. After some preconference success, Cincinnati has really tanked. They finished 2-16, and 16th place (dead last) in the Big East. Sikes had a pretty good season. He was projected as a reserve player, but got a lot more playing time due to the ineligibility of several Cincinnati big men. He averaged 9.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg. But their season is now over with no chance for post-season play.
And Cincinnati has a load of new recruits coming in next season, including highly rated power forward transfer from Texas, Mike Williams, and several incoming recruits including forwards Jason Henry, Rashad Bishop, Kenny Belton, and Darnell Wilks. So he may have more competetion next year for playing time.
