Some serious questions at Evansville

An article in Evansville allows some comments about UE and coach Steve Merfeld to be published.

This has been brought up before.
Of course there are angry fans, they want to win. But a couple things I see after reading that article.
They label Jim Les as the "most hated coach in the league".
I'll bet a lot of people in Evansville would love to have Les or someone like him now! One guy comments about hiring ex-Evansville legend Marty Simmons (who is presently at D-II SIU-E.) Sounds like they are wanting to take a step in the same direction as BU did.
Second, they note Merfeld is signed through 2011, so it would be next to impossible financially to buy him out, but they are losing their fan base and season ticket holders rapidly.
