It's a possibility, as the Scottrade Center does not have a contract with the Valley beyond this Sunday, and Kansas City is interested in getting the MVC Tournament.

MVC Tournament to move to Kansas City?

Not only would KC want to host the MVC, but I'm sure fans of Creighton, Wichita State, Drake, UNI, and Mo State wouldn't mind it being there either.
I'm so used to the conference tournament being in St. Louis, but a change of pace could do us some good. I've always considered Kansas City to be a hotbed of Big 12 sports, so it's kind of flattering that they would court the Missouri Valley. St. Louis is different in that it can be seen as a Big 12/Big 10/A-10/MVC town, if that makes any sense. It is rather surprising that even 34 years after St. Louis University left the Valley to form the Metro Conference with Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulane, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech, that the Valley still chose to keep its headquarters in St. Louis."The NCAA is so upset about alleged recruiting violations at Kentucky that they decided to give Cleveland State the Death Penalty"--Jerry Tarkanian

I sure hope we don't move the tourney out of St. Louis. I agree that that Creighton, Mo State and Whicita State would particularly like the move but St. L is more centrally located/more in the center of the Valley so we have a better shot at getting the most fans. We have spent a lot of time getting the city of St. Louis on board and making this a bigger event. I think it would be a mistake to start over again in KC.
Note-I am biased since my in-laws are in St. L I get free room but still....houstonbrave

I hope (and don't think) the Valley tournament will move to KC. This tournament has been getting bigger and better every, year. I think the only way it moves is if KC makes a ridiculous offer that the MVC couldn't turn down. Why mess with something that's already good?
Also, I'm not sure how important this would figure into organizing everything better/easier, but the Valley offices are located in St. Louis. Just makes sense to keep it there.
