  • 15,000 + for the Quarter Finals

Fox put up that there were over 15K at the session today. 3rd most ever, not sure if that was 3rd most for that session or overall but either way the attendance is awesome.

I remember going to a similar timed game versus SIU when Charles White was a Senior, I think Mo's second team and there might have been 3k in the building.

Amazing how much this tourney and conference have grown.

I heard it was the 3rd highest for any session and the most for a quarterfinal.

Patty Viverito from the MVC office was interviewed prior to the MSU-WSU quarterfinal. She verified that it was the biggest attendance figure for a quarterfinal session at the Valley Tournament. She marvelled that there was a time when the conference struggled to get that many for a championship match!

The record attendance for the Friday afternoon quarterfinal session lasted exactly one session ! The night quarter games drew 16,651. Through 3 sessions, attendance is very close to 40,000 fans with 2 sessions to go. Nice to see we have loyal followings for all Valley schools plus the greater St. Louis area. The conference has done a great job marketing this tournament over the years. These are very good, comparable numbers to the BCS conferences. I hope we can keep up the pace in future years.

Bigger, louder crowd at the night session. Great game, very entertaining. The 2 WSU fans across the hall from me in the hotel have wished us luck for tomorrow, they are pulling for us.

22,612 in attendance for the semi-finals? Absolutely amazing! Everyone got their money's worth in the first semi.
