Regarding the chicken throwing incident in a game against Kansas. PETA demands that any student with a chicken should be thrown out of school.
So PETA thinks bringing chickens into a basketball arena and subjecting them to 'deafening noise, bright lights, terror, abusive handling......for the sake of amusement.' is grounds for dismissal from the University. Why stop there? Maybe we should just give them the electric chair?
But a basketball player can drive drunk, get involved in a serious accident, used poor judgement in leaving the scene, leave his friend alone in the car for dead, fail to call for help, and commit various other felonies, and that just deserves a few games suspension.
