POB in the game vs. the Bulls

I was at the game tonight.
He did not shoot a three, it was a long two and I've seen him hit that shot many times. I was really surprised he airballed it.
POB has a long way to go. For starters he is on a team that is simply awful and even when the guy ahead of him gets in deep foul trouble, Nelson doesn't give him a chance. You'd think with how bad the Warriors are at times, he'd get more of a chance to gain experience.
Also, Patrick is very tenative on both sides of the floor. When he makes strong post moves, he looks like the great player he was at Bradley.
He played 54 seconds to start the fourth quarter, then came in later on and played the remainder of the game after it had been completely decided (Bulls were up 30). When he was yanked the first time, he sat down next to Nelson for about 30 seconds, got an earful and was then told to go back down to the end of the bench.
The good:
- A nice drive to the hoop and a soft layup for two.
- A pretty hook shot in the lane that just quite didn't fall.
- A few good rebounds, a steal, an assist...
The bad:
- The airball (but it happens to everyone)
- A foolish turnover after grabbing a rebound. POB passed to halfcourt lazily and a Bulls defender jumped the passing lane and took it back for an easy slam.
- He's playing "soft" at times. Blame it on his still lanky body, but he was overmatched by both Tyrus Thomas' athleticism as well as Michael Sweetney's strength. I'm glad, for POB's sake, that he never had to match up against Ben Wallace.
We all love POB and he has a great future. He still is definitely a "raw" talent for NBA standards and certainly has the potential to be great. He's only 20 years old! I wish he were still here in a Braves uniform.Go Braves!

As for Nelson giving him an earful after being in for only 54 seconds your right about that as well. Nelson was telling him not to let Sweetney get him deep in the post. I was right behind the bench so I heard everything.
