Weird game.
Kansas not only dominated early, but the game looked like men against boys, as Kansas
easily raced out to a 17 point lead and still led at halftime 33-19.
Oklahoma clanked so many bricks it almost had me laughing, as they hit only 7 of 29 1st half shots, and only 1-11 from 3-pt range.
Even in the 2nd half, Oklahoma hit only 13 of 31, but somehow managed to stage a comeback.
Kansas kept turning the ball over (12 2nd half TO's), making mistakes, and taking terrible shots.
They blew their entire lead and the game was tied at 51.
From there KU was lucky to win 67-65, but they really looked miserable in the 2nd half, beating a team that was begging hard to be beaten badly.
What this game exposed was Kansas' vulnerability to the press and Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, Sherron Collins, and Julian Wright repeatedly turned the ball over when pressured.
Had the refs not been friendly to Kansas, and sent them to the line 34 times, this game would have been an upset.
