  • Join me is saying: "I was wrong and admit it."

My hopes for this year was to finish around .500 and to stay out of the play in game. I thought it was a stretch to do that. I was wrong and I FREELY ADMIT I'M A BASKETBALL MORON! ANYONE WANT TO JOIN ME?

Dig 'em up Tornado. How foolish do we all look? I think I took the Kool-Aide route and predicted a 1st place finish in maybe one discussion.

I picked them sixth and they were fourth. I was wrong.

I think I had them either 8-10 or 9-9. I predicted we would lose a conference game or two to the bottom 4 teams that a mediocre team would do.

We went 8-0 against the bottom 4. It's nice to win the games you're supposed to, and I blame my bad prediction on that.

I had them 10-8 and 5th or 6th but not winning 20 games ; they were close to winning 23 so it has been an outstanding season and hoping for 5 more wins.

I called for 6th place, 19 wins, and NIT

            ............then again I'm a BIG-TIME Kool-Aid drinker

Well, both last year and this year, the Valley was way stronger than expected,
such that even a team with 6-8 losses did pretty well.

I really believed and predicted each of the last two years that Bradley would do well enough to be
contending for the top of the Valley, and this year I predicted 3rd for BU behind SIU and CU.

By the way, probably nobody took more heat over the past two seasons for predictions than I have.
If anyone here ever goes any more to the OLD board (the one run by the newspaper that is up for sale),
then you'd have seen the intense attacks that have been leveled upon me for my predictions
that Bradley would be good, would contend for the Valley title, and would play in the postseason....
all of which I have been consistently predicting since the beginning of the 2005-2006 season.
Add to that my predictions of Daniel Ruffin being the best point guard in the Valley,
and of Will being every bit as tough and good as Tony Bennett, and of POB being NBA caliber,
and DA being a GREAT 6th man, and Andrew Warren playing a vital role even as a freshman,
and lots of other predictions...all of which the Bradley-bashers have scoffed at and ridiclued.

I was predicting 4 home losses and set a goal of NO Thursday. The only thing I didn't like was all the "just get through the season" and then NEXT year.

Glad to see the players and staff didn't look at it that way.

Only TWO real dissapointing losses this year. Home to UNI and MSU. I'll give the tt loss since it was on the road but its another you wish you could have back.

Give us THOSE 3 or at least 2 of em and...oh well probably dozens of teams that could say "if only".

Bottom line is these guys played beyond most everyones expectations except there own.
NIT is a lock IMO and the NCAA is still a possiblity (not talking autobid) with 2 more wins.

Dru, add your (drinking, oops throwing up) avatar from the other board. If you've lost the link you can upload from the following URL:
