  • Ray Brown

Forgive me if this has been discussed already. I was told tonight that Ray Brown will be available for post-season play after March 15 which is when his suspension ends. Is that true? If it is...what does that mean for the team? I like the chemistry this team has, could it be detrimental? Any thoughts?
Lift up your hearts and sing, lift up thy light
Let all your voices ring, Hail Red and White!
Red for courage, strength and right
    White for purity
    Shining as a beacon light
    For the University
    Go onward, ever onward
    Let courage and truth prevail
    To Bradley University
    All Hail! Hail! Hail!

Phyn - don't listen to the Big Fish.

      He heard it from me.

And I read it off this board.

Big Fish has been swimming in polluted water...or maybe it was the chilli dogs and beer for lunch

It does appear to be true. Here is a link to the other thread about this, and I quoted the NCAA rule that would appear to allow Ray to be eligible after March 15, if Bradley was still playing.

It would have been nice to have Ray this year, and I believe he would have gotten a lot of playing time.

I agree DC and I hope the discussion doesn't escelate beyond that.

IF BU plays beyond his suspension and IF he plays, lets just wait and see.... and let's just accept it for whatever it is he contributes. I don't want to see discussions deteriate into what "coulda been" crap.

Coach Les has been very clear about how HIS team plays based on available players. Basically - "NO EXCUSES. 'D' up and make a play."
