This group has left its mark at Bradley and started something that is special. I wish I could be there to thank them for all they have done for Bradley University and for all the enjoyment they have given me. What a great group of kids and what a great team to watch play!!! I know they lost the UNI game and everyone is down but you know what this team gave it everything they had and it wasnt their night. I dont think I can ever say that this team ever walked on the floor this year for a game and didnt give it everything they had. They have taken a rebuilding year and made it a year to remember. For those of you lucky enough to make it to the game make sure they know how much they are appreciated and that they will always be part of the BU family!!!!!!

      Great Post

      Hey Coach, Mexico,
I am just looking for back to back 20 win seasons. In my
little book that lays the foundations of a great program. It
doesn't matter what the silly pollsters say about you, 20 W's
says a lot. Congrats to those seniors that worked so hard to
make this a possibility. You deserve respect. The BU family
loves you deeply indeed. Go Get em..

Here is an article from the Terre Haute Tribune Star about the future of Royce Waltman. He is in the final year of a contract that has not yet been extended. The Indiana State Athletic Director has said they will wait until after the season to make a decision. That kind of talk almost always means Waltman will not be retained.

Wish I could there for Senior night. Also, I still remember the afternoon Ozark chartered flight to the 1982 NIT championship game with Purdue. We got back in Peoria at 3 in the morning. That was a great tournament back then. Jim Les and his recruits have put BU back on the basketball map again. Thanks and good luck to the seniors.

I have great memories of the NIT trip to NYC in 1982. We took the bus trip out that the school arranged. That was a long trip. We stayed at a hotel where the teams stayed, across from the entrance of the Madison Square Garden, the Statler Hilton. It's not there anymore.
I recall the weather was quite nice and we walked all around Manhattan without jackets. Bradley Beat Oklahoma in the semis and Purdue (with Russell Cross) in the final. Georgia (with Dominique Wilkins) was the other team.

Also some great memories of the trips to Ogden Utah in 1986, and Atlanta in 1988, Providence in 1996, and Auburn Hills and Oakland last year. Not to mention some NIT trips like Milwaukee to play Marquette in 1985, Glen's Falls New York to play Siena in 1994 (because their arena in Albany was occupied), and Storrs, Connecticut where Bradley got beat by UConn in 1997.

I am looking forward to seeing them play somewhere in a couple weeks.

Coach, I remember when our plane landed in Newark the bus had to go through afternoon traffic to the Sheraton. We got there just in time to help give the team a sendoff to accross the street. Also great memories of Salt Lake and Ogden. Not so great from Atlanta.
