  • New Mexico Coach Ritchie McKay Out at Season's End

    Bye bye Ritchie

New Mexico to part ways with Ritchie McKay at season's end - USATODAY.com

In the final analysis, this is the end result of his unethical actions of "recruiting" Danny Granger.
    In other words....payback is a bit*ch, isn't it...
All those who defended McKay and who supported his actions of luring highly touted, disgruntled players from other schools, found that it caused tremendous internal friction in the Lobos' program, and also made New Mexico a terrible destination for high school recruits who saw they would always be losing playing time to transfers and walk-ons.
They have sealed their own fate and now pay the price.
They wanted it, now they have it... a program that is BAD and going down from there, so they blame it all on Ritchie and fire him.

I think it firms up my belief that cheating doesn't pay (most of the time), and now both McKay and Broussard will find it hard to ever get back into D-I coaching after accumulating so much baggage in their resumes.

Maybe if all the players bolt, it would be only fair for Bradley to end up with one of their best young prospect........naw...never mind, as they have no good young prospects.

They will end up landing somewhere because there are programs out there that are willing to let these guys cheat if it helps them but these 2 guys will not be welcomed back to peoria any time soon.

Broussard is $cum, all that BU done for him then he does that with that cancer Granger, I hope he never finds another job in coaching.

or maybe he was just a bad coach.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

              They were certainly bad recruiters.

As you'd expect...the players are going to bolt...
                  and it is already happening..
The best incoming player, a juco recruit named Reggie Huffman has reneged and will reopen his recruitment.

Hoffman is a highly rated juco player...
He is a soph averaging 18.4ppg, 11.7rpg and ranked #18 in the nation among juco players.
                  6-7, 215 lb.

And I'd have to believe JR Giddens won't be asked back by whoever the new head coach is going to be at New Mexico...
all these problems actually started when the team chemistry was screwed up by the disgruntled, selfish transfer.
