DC--- I have NOT defended Bruce Weber...and it would take you less than a millisecond to do a search and find my opinions on him, as they are all over this board and the PJS board....many this past week, even tho accurate, and factual are being deleted by the mods there as they reveal a serious problem with the control and accountability at UIUC.
And call it what you want, all I ever challenged you with was to show me evidence Bruce Weber tampered with Dentmon. I have asked, and challenged, and you never have produced.
As for Weber recruiting Marcus, that's a given and I have NEVER said otherwise.
I just did a search of every post I have ever made that makes reference to Arnold, and all of them are critical of Arnold, critical of Weber, and one of them flat out labels the transfer as tampering.
These were my words:
"In the first interview I have seen of Marcus Arnold, scout.com suggests that Arnold contacted Bruce Weber and asked about a transfer there. Weber said that they would "look at the number situation and felt it would be a good fit"
Hmmm, this sounds a little like a possible violation, doesn't it?
I thought Weber would have to get a release from the AD of ISU just to be able to speak to a player under scholarship elsewhere."
So please feel free to do a search yourself and show me where I have ever said otherwise?
Again, the only argument I have ever made in this regard was that nobody has ever actually shown evidence of Weber tampering with Dentmon, and I even posted once the evidence to the contrary...and yet several ISU fans have repeatedly said they have solid evidence.
So why not show it or reveal it?
BY THE WAY, DC, it is not my opinion that New Mexico tampered....that IS THE OPINION of the official NCAA investigation. They found that New Mexico and specifically head coach Ritchie McKay and assistant coach Duane Broussard violated NCAA rules and tampered with Granger.
It is the choice of penalty that I am upset about.
Granger wasn't punished at all, McKay got essentially nothing, and Broussard was supposed to attend a compliance seminar!
In dozens of posts I have made, I have stated Marcus Arnold made a horrible mistake in going to UIUC and that it was a bit unethlical the way it happened.
