Bradley still listed as Work left to Do but considered possibly over MO state

also interesting in reading for Mich St and Illinois that beating Bradley is now something big to note for these teams, we are a team to reckon with and beating us is something important to be looked at

We're a marquee win for both programs right now. That's good and bad, considering we're jockeying for an at-large with both of them.

Despite what this write says, the DePaul win is gaining steam, not losing it. As are the wins over Wright St and SIU.

How great is it to be having this conversation? Ha!

Along the same lines, Tennessee Tech has risen to a 2nd place tie in the Ohio Valley Conference. A TTU title in Nashville might take the sting off our loss in Cookeville back in December. Then again, the last time the Golden Eagles made the NCAA field, John Kennedy was president and Coke cost a nickle per bottle! Making the MVC title game and losing to SIU would be better for us than say losing to MSU or CU. The way it looks now though, we'll meet the Salukis in the semifinals in St. Louis, provided both teams win their quarterfinal games, and given the way MVC teams CAN play, there's a distinct possibility of an upset along the way. Despite our 2 losses to MSU, I agree the Braves have a little more "upside" now than the Bears, but we still have very little margin for error here. Too bad we didn't lose to Michigan State by 9 instead of 29 !

Do you think that if we win out in the reg season and get farther than MO St in the MVC tourny that we will get the coveted third MVC invite? what is the stinger is MO St's sweep of BU during the season.

The loss to Missouri State in Peoria was when Jeremy Crouch was out with the knee injury. The NCAA considers this.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 2 losses to Missouri St. The committee prefers the last 10 games and how a team is playing more... Look at last year - Hofstra beat George Mason twice and had a similar profile, but George Mason got in....

Main thing for BU is to win the 2 home games this week, then we'll worry about the MVC tourney next week....

MSU is just 5-5 in last ten games and have a must win at Wichita State this week....

BU Is 6-4 in last ten (but losses to CU, MSU & SIU) and has two home games...

BU needs to win out, but bubble case is getting stronger for us...
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

and the loss in Springfield was his first game back, where he saw limited action (and points)

I have a bad feeling that the committee is going to screw over the Valley this year, and the fact that we could end up with 20+ wins will not matter....

Why do you say that IlliBraves?

For many years the Valley got little or no recognition, and quite frankly there weren't many years that the Valley's performances in the post season were anything to brag about.

But suddenly last year, the selection committee gave the Valley FOUR BIDS...and quite possibly 2 of the teams that just missed the cut were Valley teams also.
THEN-- despite the manic reaction by the media folks like Digger, Nance, and the rest, and even some of the hothead coaches like Gary Wiliams, the Valley went out and proved the selection committee knew what they were doing!

I think last year if anything can be said tit is that the Valley validated the number of bids that they got.

I see no reason why the entirety of the selection comittee would do a 180 degree turnabout this year.
I think they'll give the Valley serious consideration, and at least 3 bids. I am hoping for four bids and another Sweet Sixteen run for one of the Valley teams (guess which one I am thinking of.)

Hey...if you're getting bummed out about this, go back and read these threads...and how much fun we've had with ignorant Digger and the bunch:

so whom do we root for WS against MSU?. better the chance for BU to get the 3rd bid? i'm assuming BU will take both home games (hopefully) and cement the 4th spot

i'd say this game, we root for WSU to take it. WSU has to finish their season at CU and i'm sorry but i don't think CU is gonna let that game get out of hand. As long as Bradley can take care of business one game at a time we'll win both games and i can forsee WSU going 1-1 possibly 0-2

Mizz. State, we're playing well right now and 3rd would look real good on our resume compared to 4th. With that said, I think it's going to take a major upset for that to happen. As much as I want to finish 3rd, I don't see Drake going to Mizz. State and winning on their senior night. But who knows, it could happen ...

How big is it that Jeromy was the one to shine Sat Night. It exposed the x factor in the success Mizzu St had against us if it comes down to a decision for a 3rd team. Coupled w/ a better final 10 game stretch.

I'm rooting for WSU because tying MSU for 3rd in conference would be much better for our resume, than 4th alone. I know we'll still be the 4th seed in the conference tourney.
