I disagree strongly...
there are those who are lying in wait to pounce on JL but things are just going well enough that maybe you don't notice them.
But I do...they still sneak in a few jabs and insults whenever they can, and if I respond over there on the other board, my posts are continuously deleted.
lefty, because I am likely the highest-profile, most vocal pro-BU guy on the message boards, I am continually the target of those who want to continue the attack via private messaging.
If you'd like, I'll show you some of the PM's I've gotten from some very prominet posters on the other boards who hate JL and will take any opportunity to attack him.
They are holdover, frustrated Wayne McClain fans who never wanted JL as head coach and still haven't let up.
They are the same 8000+ posters who act like they are really BU fans when in fact they are anti-BU.
They loudly and vocally condemned JimLes and the entire coaching staff when there were issues that caused some of the BU kids to be ineligible, and they called on JL to be held accountable.
Also-- some local columnists have also held JL accountable for those issues...even at certain points in the past 5 years hinting JL should be fired!
All I ask is why we don't see those same people holding BW and WM accountable.
I think the answer is that they are totally anti-JL biased and that their opinion of the issues is not fair nor objective, they're just using the issues to attack Jim Les.
If they were fair or consistent, they would be asking that BW and his coaching staff be similarly held accountable.

You know I wasn't a big fan of JL..and there are some things that bother some people about him ,but I really do think...OK most everyone believes he is doing a good job. Several of those on the other board have said so.
I don't think BW gets a pass in everything...he's been blasted about recruiting..keeping McBride..and we will see how this all shakes out.
What does WM have to do with all this...when people were going after JL they didn't go after the assisstants.

it's a message board for crying out loud...kind of silly really because I have alot more important stuff to do but it is kind of fun from time to time..but that's why I'm inconsistent onhere.

I think people felt he did inherit some decent recruits. That was one of the reasons they let Mo go.Broski knew they could be good the next year. JL didn't have a couple of NBA'ers but he had one..there was talent there it just didn't work out then.

I think that the "Secret Society" you are talking about may have also been responsible for the poor snow removal the city experienced on Dec 1-4, and may have had a hand in the whole Anna Nicole Smith ordeal.

Sure...I still let them....they are free to say and do as they please...although there will be some control of it on this board.
But in case you hadn't noticed, me and my pro-BU stance have been mercilessly attacked by a few of those who thought they had some pretty strong arguments about Jim Les, and they labelled the pro-Jim Les folks as Koolaid drinkers, zombies, and even racists and backstabbers for not supporting one of the other candidates.
I just reserve the right to remind those anti-BU folks how bad the mess would be if the powers on the hilltop had actually listened to them and canned Jim Les when they were asking for it.
You mean you don't remember the threads elsewhere trashing JL, asking who they should hire as the next coach and how long are we going to put up with losing when the "cupboard was not bare"? Never mind that even Dana Altman wasn't winning in his first 4 seasons.
And, like I say, if they'd have all gone away we wouldn't be having this conversation, but I get PM's still from them attacking JL and the pro-BU folks, and some of them still post anti-BU stuff....did you not see it over the weekend?
May I remind you, that the preponderance of anti-BU sentiment is the reason this message board came about, it is the very thing that called for a new place for the real Bradley fans to gather and discuss without being slammed repeatedly by those who held some hatred for JL or BU.
And is it any surprise that this message board has grown by leaps and bounds?
