Winthrop looks like Bradley did at home vs. ISU. They can't miss. They are running away with this game. Now 66-51 with 3:59 and Missouri State looks bad.

Ouch, terrible loss for MO State, but may help Bradley if we can win tomorrow night. MO State losing at home to a 220th something strength of schedule team albeit a 23-4 team after tonight. If BU can win out and get to at least the semi final round of the tourney with MO state losing in the first round, then BU will have a great chance of getting to the big dance over MO State. Makes tomorrow nights game even bigger.

What surprised me right away were all the empty seats. They really stick out in the 'white-out' crowd.

            Winthrop Sweet 16?

Winthrop is a very good team. I've seen them play a few games this year and they are a lot like BU, only more size and better rebounding.

If they get a decent draw in this year's NCAA Tourney they may pull off another BU Sweet 16.

Them beating MSU is not an upset. They are for real and their RPI does not accurately reflect how good they really are.

Me too. The money crowd probably figured Winthrop???????????? What is a Winthrop?
Well, they found out. It is a pretty good Baskeball Team

I agree B4L - I think JPalm has them at a 13 seed right now... I think they could get as high as a 12 (doubt an 11)... and ONLY because their league drags them down. At any rate, a VERY deadly 15 last year, and a VERY deadly 11-13 this year.

When I do my bracket, I will remember this game and this team!

This game could definitely "Up The Bubble" Bradley, depending on how they do tomorrow!
They win tomorrow. take care of biz at home, and do better in St. Lou than Mo. St., they could be in!
The Valley is at least a 3 bid conference.

                        Final score--

Yes, Winthrop is a good team, but MSU should have beaten them at home. Winthrop shot "lights out" and MSU looked terrible. This could turn out to be a bad weekend for the MVC.

The other Home teams for the MVC are Illinois State (Ball St.), Indiana State (Miami, OH), Drake (UW-Milwaukee), Creighton (Drexel), and Wichita State (App. St.). That's the worst 3 teams in the MVC plus a team in Wichita that has injury problems. It would be overly optimistic to think the MVC will win all those games at home, and they could lose a couple.

The road teams are Bradley (at VCU) , Evansville (Samford), Northern Iowa (Nevada), and Southern Illinois (Butler). Again, I don't see more than a couple wins coming there. I think it's likely the MVC will be solidly in 7th place after tomorrow.

Winthrop is no slouch though. They could be a Sweet Sixteen team this year. But MSU has to play better at home even against a team as good as Winthrop is.

Also note that a large reason for that 220 strength of schedule was playing in that atrocious conference of theirs. They did play (and lost against) three top eleven teams early on.

I don't know Coach. I predict all of the MVC home teams will win. If Wichita St. can't beat App. St. they should just fold up tent and call it a year; App. St. is not in their league.

I think it's the road games where we could potentially be swept (though I think EU beats Samford, and am hopeful against VCU)

Watch out Mac. I'm pretty strong in these bracket pik'ms

What's the prize? A one year free pass to not be bullied by Mac?
