This is the argument that keeps coming up against the Braves. All tourney long BU has been facing "better players" or "better athletes". I used to buy into this argument before the tourney started. BU has shown that they can play with anyone in this tourney by beating the Big 12 Tourney Champ and Big East Runner Up. IF Memphis has better athletes or basketball players bring em on as the Bradley TEAM has shown they can handle it!
As I posted elsewhere, many fans of Pitt, Kansas, and others in Auburn Hills wanted to know how Bradley got all these outstanding players. Everyone acknowledged that the best 3 or 4 players on the floor in each game were Bradley players. I don't think the BU guys will be afraid of anyone.
Memphis is good and has a bunch of incredible athletes. But the CUSA was a weak conference this year (only 2 teams in the top 50 RPI). Bradley actually has more wins against top 50 RPI teams.- 10 , Memphis has 8.
I hope they keep thinking there is no way Bradley can compete with them.
memphis have a good team. we respect the memphis tigers.just like we respected kansas and pittsburgh. if memphis fans, players and coaches want to diss us that might be a big mistake.
I tell you this much Memphis fans....this is the team no one wants to play ...these Braves are really something else...this is the most ridiculous 13 seed ever in the history of the dance....my suggestion ..keep quiet and strap em on tight..its gonna be a war...go braves..
MVC...as we used to be known and will be again....the valley of death
The only time I've seen Bradley play this year was against Pitt. The number of high caliber athletes that the Braves put on the floor at one time was amazing. Obviously the one that stood out mopst was your talented, mobile center. The balance of your squad looked to be a lot like our Antonio Anderson/Chris Douglas Roberts - mid sized forward-big guard types that could handle the ball, drive and shoot when needed. Thursday may pit two of the best "athletic" teams left in the tourney against each other.
I look for a good game.......Bradley and Memphis always is.
FYI, Hersey Hawkins did the TV color analyis for our NBA team here until this year.

What seed was Villanova when they won the title in the 80's? ('85 I believe) Could w be a cinderelaa like they were, then? Could you guys handle a National Title? This is so freaking exciting. I literally HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE 55 years? My parents aren't even that old! What a nice run. GO BU!

Villanova was an 8 seed in 1985, the lowest seed to win the Dance.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.
