Jim Les. He has done more with only 1 player, who plays regularly, over 6'7", count em MMob, than any other coach in the MVC could.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

BU by contrast was picked 8th or 9th and can finish 3rd or 4th.
I think JL has done the best coaching job in the Valley and deserves the COY, but I am not holding my breath.
Tornado, I agree completely. If you return what SIU returned and achieve what you were suppose to that is a good job done. But, when you exceed what your expectations were by 4 or 5 spots and you can get kids to play like Jim did this year ,the award should be a no brainer. Jim COY period end of discussion. If he doesn't get it it will be a shame. Who votes media or coaches.Could be a be issue as to who gets it but not in my mind

Bradley ended last season with 22 wins, and yet
we may do even better this season, and every single preseason guru predicted that BU would have a sharp downturn.

Here is just a reminder of how bleak most of those gurus said plainly Bradley's season would be.

"a team headed for a big fall"
..."a big fall" ..."major regrouping"..."massive hole in the middle"
"rebuilding mode"...."the Braves will take their lumps"...
        ""don't expect a magical rerun..."

The entire staff has done a great job...

          JL
          Lil Bish
          Lennox
          Chuck
          even Kyle
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Les has done the best job of coaching.
Coaching isn't always = winning, but in the end the better coaching will lead to more winning.

Another factor that the brain trust should look at is the graduation rate. According to the Bradley media guide BU is #1 in graduation rate among all student-athletes and #1 in Men BB program.

              SIU is toward the bottom.

Another reason why JL is tops in the Valley

                Yugo vs. Ferrari

SIU keeps boasting about their NCAA appearances...notice they don't say NCAA success....since they never seem to win anything once they get there lately.

BU has returned to NCAA success..........

                You decide

                This............................................or this

Sorry MMob. I was referring to a post I put in on Feb 10th. I meant someone else. I won't mention their title because I like this board too much to have someone think I'm calling them out. Keep up the good posting MMob. GO BRAVES.

No prob Chico. I was just a little worried I said something I couldn't remember saying - which does happen. Seems as I get older, this occurs more often.

                        Echoing you...

                        GO BRAVES!

Just reading thru some of the replys, however I also voted for Les. BU was picked 8th for the valley and not only has Les done a great job "re-organizing" the lineup, but he also has found a lineup to be slightly better than last years sweet 16 team with now 2 pro players out of it. Even if this team doesn't make it to the sweet 16 or to the big Tourney, i'd have to say this team was a lot more fun to watch than last seasons. I just hope some of the big dog schools don't come a calling for Les.

                          Jason
