I asked him why he said that he was going to ICC so early and then he told me the story.

Brian Stinnette of chicagohoops has a brand new ranking of his Class of 2007.
Sam Maniscalco is still in the Top 10.
I also note that Mr. Ponemann of illinoishshoops.com has revised his rankings, and now has Sam Maniscalco up to #14.
Webs.com has been shut down on the 31st of August 2023. Find out what that means for your site and how to move it to another provider.
(but he has non-IHSA eligible players on the list which would move Sam to #12)
(there you go, Daniel, Im doing my best to link to your site!!. 0

I have only seen sam play over the holiday break, and i was impressed with his skills, swagger and his huslte, but not by his shooting so i put him at 20.
After all the talk on this message board about how good he is, and seeing how high other people had him ranked i figure i was missing something with this kid so i got some other opinions. I asked freinds of mine who play vs him in the escc and other scouts who have seen him more then me and the consensus was that he is a top 15 player.

Thanks........and of course the rankings are always pretty subjective.
They include a little of how good the kid is now plus how good he might become.
Some of the Top 5 players from prior years (Eric Verneisel '04, Jimmie Miles '03, Marcus White '02, and Najeeb Echols '01 never did a thing in college, and turned out to be worse players than kids who were ranked well below (Alando Tucker, Dwayne Wade, Marcellus Sommerville, and of course Marcus Arnold. )
