    mostly open.

Nearly all were good open shots. A couple of DRs were foced and not good shots.

We'll bounce back from this. I'll be suprised if we lose another game this season.
So you are predicting that we win the MVC tourney and then the NCAA tourney? I'll take that bet!

I dont agree with the 'Jassey is virtually worthless' part. He never plays, so how do you know he is bad. Do you blame him for taking shots when he gets in the game?

Ya, Singh isn't very fast, but why cant he play for short periods more often during the game? That way he can stay fresh and be utilized as another big man that this team could use.

            THIS IS VERY TRUE

and it all leads back to me mentioning the substitution deal

Well, that's what I thought. So we probably could have had this game if our three's went down. Then again, SIU may have tightened the perimeter even more, and that with have reduced our 3 point attempts as the game went on.

I'm just trying to accept this loss as a good loss, and not game that we threw away. But unfortunately, from what I'm reading on this board, it sounds like we may have done just that.

                You're kidding, right?!

Andrews and Salley are the ONLY true D-1 players at this point. Singh will never reach his potential due to all of his injuries and is nothing more than a big body that can be used to give our ONLY two big men a brief spell.

Jassey is NOT a forward (at this point he is a man without a position as he can't handle the ball well enough to play guard and can't shoot well enough to play SF). Jassey is a great athlete and a great physical specimen, but at this point he is NOT a basketball player.

Saihou Jassey doesn't deserve the pt. He has played in garbage time in several games. And even in garbage time he's good for 4 fouls in 5 minutes and 1/6 shooting. If you want to see BU play with 4 guys on the court put SJ in during a conference game. He'll get owned.

I was excited when we signed him, but he hasn't progressed as I've hoped and at this point I don't think he'll ever come along enough to contribute in a program this good.

You pointed out earlier that you'd like to see SJ and SS play more. Both are not good players. Don't you want to put your best players on the floor? That's why BU plays with 3 or 4 guards all the time.

SS is a big body that can give quality minutes in short bursts, but he can't be used extensively because of his injuries. He can't jump and he's too slow to play in this system for more than a few minutes.

As others have said, SJ has shown absolutely no reason to deserve more playing time. Yes, he's long and athletic, but he's not a basketball player. He's an athlete. There's a big difference. When he does get into games, it's a 1 on 1 showcase when he has the ball. There's no concept of team play.

LongHair, you say you don't blame SJ for putting up shots when he's in the game. But if you wanted more playing time, wouldn't you try to impress the coaches by playing team basketball instead of taking ridiculous fadeaways?

If I sat the bench every game, when I finally get into the game I would shoot it everytime I got the ball. If he wanted to impress the coaches, he should try harder in practice.

I just wish some of you guys would have the courage to call in to the Jim Les Live radio show and discuss your ideas with Coach. Long Hair Luni, Taters, and BuBraves55 - I encourage you all to give Jim a chance to answer some of your questions on the radio. Challenge him on playing time for players, if you REALLY think you have a case. Ask him why JJ gets more pt. Ask him why he doesn't play DA more.

If that's your attitude, I'm glad you're not on the team.

Here's an idea: Maybe he should try harder in practice AND not chuck up shots when he gets in the game.

Based on your logic, SS should shoot every time he gets the ball because he only plays limited minutes.

Can't keep digging a hole in the first 8 minutes, this is the 4th game in a row. Also, Tony Young single handedly put the game out of reach in the 1st half by hitting 4 threes. 3 of which were questionable shots, it was really unfortunate for BU.

Also, I think AW is getting to the point where he deserves more clock. He was pretty solid again last night. What did he have, 7 points in 15 minutes? He would have had more if the refs didn't blow the goal tending call on the fast break.

I think yesterday's game plan was one of, if not the most-well designed (unfortunately poorly executed), that I've seen from this staff.
