  • Jim Les has kept his word

Well, we're back from the beautiful city of Auburn Hills. I found out that those "Hills" are nothing more than massive landfills and dumps from all the garbage generated by the Detroit area over the past 50+ years. It must have been inexpensive land to build "The Palace" on. I wonder what the cancer rate is for people who live there?

But I actually was thinking and discussing a different topic on the way back. I have heard people use the reasoning that prior to this year, Jim Les was a failure at Bradley because he made promises that he didn't keep. I have heard that so many times, so I do believe people are sincere when they say it.

With today's huge win, and the unbelieveable support by Bradley fans in Michigan, and at the airport, it now seems all those "promises" have been met. Can anyone think of anything Jim Les promised that hasn't happened this season? Bradley actually never won anything this year, but nonetheless IMO it's been the most successful season in the past 50 years.

Is there anyone willing to say they still don't think they want him as Bradley's coach?
Is there any question about his coaching skills?

    Well said

It is hard to believe just 2 months ago there were several discussions that Les should be fired.

    Here is one

Other boards weren't even this civil.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

On Saturday night, Da Coach, we drove around looking for a Walgreens or somewhere to buy a few things since some in our group hadn't brought enough toothpaste and stuff to stay as long as we did.

I couldn't believe how ugly and shocking the city of Auburn Hills is. It is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but industrial parks, landfills, manufacturing plants, office buildings, a few hotels, the Palace on a flat piece of land connected to one of the hugest landfill dumps you've ever seen (by the way, they even give it a name and it has its own freeway exit called "Bald Mountain"!! believe it or not!!) and just a couple restaurants.
We drove an hour and found only one retail store, and never once in the 3 days we were there did we even see one house or home. Does anyone actually live in this nightmare of a place called Auburn Hills?

The PR from Auburn Hills itself lists the population as 19,837, which is smaller than Morton , IL but is incredibly small for a suburb that's contiguous to Detroit!

Oakland then will look like paradise compared to Auburn Hills. There's not much to the Oakland Arena. It's close to Oakland Airport but a little ways to downtown Oakland. If you are planning to spend sometime in the area I reccomend staying in SF. You can take BART right to the Arena in 20 minutes.
