I'm with you. I never have seen it either.
Actually, I am not sure he starts on the Intramural team I had in college years ago.

      i dont understand

why can u rip on DR and we cant rip on tauai??

      answer me that?
Because all you do is rip on JJ, we get it, you don't like him. Believe it or not, he helps us win. Get over yourself, I don't spend all my time on this board ripping on JJ or any other individual, if I think someone hindered us in a loss, I'll say it, you do it just 'cause you have some personal problems. For real though, we all get it, you don't have to bother 'nemore, you're beating a dead horse so to speak. I mean, let it go man.

        Poor shooting does Bradley in.
Yea Coach, I don't care what other people are saying poor shooting was it. How many times did Les' offensive scheme get us a good look only to have someone throw up a brick. Ouch. We played a good overall game but just did not make shots that we normally make... bottom line, period.

The announcers were actually impressed with Bradley's passing, and made refernce to how good their passing looked. That was the worst we shot 3-pointers all year.

Back on topic a bit--I thought we had a great game plan on both ends of the floor. Our execution, especially our 3-point shooting, just killed us. The intensity tonight was far, far better than last week's beatdown by Creighton. Even though we missed so many good looking shots from downtown, I thought the Braves played with so much more spirit and enthusiasm--even moreso than last year's 12-point loss at Carbondale. What's up with Tony Young? If it weren't for Bradley, the guy would struggle to make 3rd team All-Valley ! I'll agree, Ruff has struggled lately in some games. For as poorly as he played tonight on offense, I shudder to think how many points we would have given up on the defensive end without him in the lineup (JJ too for that matter). I didn't see the stats, but didn't we shoot more free throws than SIU? That ought to tell you how well and focused we were for the task at hand. The score seemed to stay 11-7 for the longest time in the first half. Will missed 2 and JJ one three-point attempts from the corner. All the shots were uncontested. If one or two of the shots go down, who knows what kind of groove the Braves would have been in the rest of the way? Unfortunately, those misses turned out to be a harbinger for the rest of the game. Frustrating loss, no doubt--but I feel better about the way they played tonight than they did last week against the Bluejays. Now we need to duplicate the intensity down the stretch and into St. Louis. Anything short of winning the Valley Tourney will put us in the NIT.

This was the most frustrating game for me ever. It has cemented for me an unhealthy hatred for SIU. This game just about killed me because I feel like Bradley (with the exception of shooting) played the far better game. Our defense was basically excellent, and our offense in terms of creating shots was awesome. If only a FEW of those shots had gone in. DR, for example, had a great defensive game, and as far as I can tell drew at least 8 fouls from SIU... but had a horrendous night shooting. I think Les came with a plan to beat SIU, and basically that plan worked, except we had a woeful night shooting. Well, at least there's beer.

At least we're sitting here blaming the loss on BU's poor shooting instead of the refs for not calling fouls on SIU. I acutally thought the officiating was very good tonight, which was a relief. I'm a little tired of people complaining about SIU's defense.

Ruff has had his two worst shooting games of the season in arguably the two biggest games of the season (vs. CU, @ SIU). Like someone said earlier, he needs to step up or BU is in trouble.

Overall, I thought BU had a good gameplan, but the shots just didn't fall. Even when we were down big (33-14?), I kept saying, "Man I really don't think we've played that bad."

The other part of that is that SIU is just that good. They beat teams even when their opponents play well. IMO, SIU and CU are easily the two best teams in the league. The middle of the pack is a crapshoot.

SIU's defense is good, and I am glad a couple of those guys are going to graduate and be gone.
In a couple years when Falker is gone, SIU will lose a ton. Same true for when Tatum and Young are gone from the back court.

The refs were OK but a lot of hand checking and pushing went uncalled as it always seems to for the Salukis. It gives them a tremendous advantage given their style of play, and yet Bu got called for a couple touch fouls, especially on Zach.

Oh well, all I really want is to never have to listen to Mitch Holthus broadcast a game again for the rest of my life. The guy was horrible.

Why can't we beat a good team on the road? You can't blame Jim,we always have a stretch that we can't hit a shot...
If we want to be an NCAA team you have to learn to beat a good team on the road ie: SIU,CU,NI,MSU not just the thursday teams..With that said i like our chances on a neutral court,we have shown we can do that!!

You can't fault the coach entirely. However, after four consecutive stumbles out of the gate, the preparedness of the players has to come into question, and that is the responsibility of the coaches to make sure they show up ready to play.

They have two games to get their swagger back before the VCU game.
