Maryland lost at home tonight to Virginia 69-65 --

That makes Gary Williams' team 17-7 overall, but just 3-6 in the ACC. It drops tham into a tie for 9th place in the ACC with 7 more conference games remaining. I can't wait to see the Gary Williams' meltdown when they don't make the NCAA tournament again.
    Virginia............8-2....16-6
    Boston Coll.......7-2....16-6
    North Carolina...6-2....20-3
    Virginia Tech.....6-3....16-7
    Duke...............5-4....18-5
    Florida St. .......5-4....17-6
    Clemson..........4-5.....18-5
    Georgia Tech....4-6.....15-8
    Maryland.........3-6.....17-7
    N.C. State........3-6.....13-9
    Miami (FL).......2-7.....9-14
    Wake Forest....2-8....11-12

Here are Maryland's remaining ACC games. Not an easy schedule--
Sun, Feb 11 (16) Duke home
Wed, Feb 14 at N.C. State
    Sun, Feb 18 at Clemson
Wed, Feb 21 Florida St. home

If anyone watched the game last night on ESPN between Tennessee and LSU, it was painful also.

Here are two teams that were preseason Top 10 teams in many people's opinions, and both struggled.

LSU turned the ball over so much it was worse than watching Bradley melt down at Michigan State.
But Tennessee couldn't ever take advantage and struggled as well, but won by 3.

LSU is now 2-7 in their conference, and Tennessee goes to 4-5. Both teams have as many or more losses as Bradley does.
In fact, only 3 teams in the entire 12 team SEC have fewer than 8 losses, and only three (Florida, Kentucky, Georgia, and Vandy) have winning conference records.

Virginia leads the ACC??? Go figure.....

Maryland will be hard pressed to win 50% of their remaining games, so they better be planning on making a deep run in the postseason conference tournament or playing in the NIT again this year.

Virginia leads the ACC.... a team that got beat on a neutral floor by Appalachian State... who went in and won at VCU... a place Bradley plays at later this month.

              Maryland in

Maryland (those sorry sacks) just beat Carolina. Sadly, I think this puts them in The Tourney
