      I'd rather have Odzic
Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

well...it's been long enough to grade whether banking on Odzic was a little premature...
He may still turn out to be a very valuable player, but so far his stats and what I saw of him here in Peoria suggest that some of the talk of him being a deadly 3-point shooter (a la Matt Roth) might be a bit premature...

You decide...Odzic has now been eligible since mid-December,
he has played in 12 games, averaging 14 minutes per game...

        Avg...3.1 ppg
        Rebs...1.4 rpg
        asst...1.5 apg
        FG% = 37.9% (11-29)
        3-FG% = 16.7% (2-12)
        wasn't he supposed to be a lights-out 3-pt shooter???

        For comparison...Ty Cole-Scott (who has had a disappointing start), 12.2 mpg, 23% on 3-pointers, 3.4 ppg.

Odzic's numbers are somewhat similar to Tyrone Cole-Scott, who was supposed to be a prolific scorer and great 3-point shooter as well. Oh well. You win some and you lose some.

But if his shots start falling, at least Ty can get some points cutting to the hoop,
but as I understand it, Odzic's bread and butter is the 3 pointer, and 16% just isn't going to get you much PT.

He has been reluctant to pull the trigger for whatever reason of late. He actually drives better than anyone anticipated but his shooting has been not as good as was billed to be. He has been fighting an injury to his shooting hand of late also, but not sure how much that has effected him.

Holloway has also cut into his time a bit and lately Holtz has as well.

not to split hairs, but his 1st game was at Creighton on the 29th of December
