Yeah, as long as they don't play like they did against Creighton last week!

Or Michigan State, which was also on the Deuce.
By NO means will this be an easy game. VCU is as quick, if not quicker than us.

I think the Bradley v. MSU game was on ESPN fullcourt and not ESPN2. Either way, bad game for us.

At least we avoided being on ESPN Ocho

I think the fact that both teams could score 90+ points helped with the time slot.

Yeah, "because if it's almost a sport, it's on the Ocho!"

Bradleys run in the Sweet 16 obviously has now paid more rewards.
You don't think they'd be putting Bradley in the 7PM prime time game if
they didn't have that previous exposure?

Judging from how we haven't been on in the past, ya, it's a pretty good assumption that the benefits from last year's tourney run are still coming in, and to me, that's a great thing.

This may have been posted elsewhere but Trocchi on SI.com posted his picks for the bracketbusters including the BU VCU game. Unfortunately he picks VCU

Can't say I disagree with too much of his assessment. Let's just hope he's wrong about BU-VCU, oh and SIU Butler too. I just want to see them lose cause they play in a cupcake conference.

                          From SI article------------------- http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ort/index.html

                          Bradley at VCU

                          Saturday, Feb. 17, 8 p.m., ESPN2
Why it's big: As far as at-large bids are concerned, both these teams have hopes but are probably on the outside looking in right now. Winning the Colonial Athletic Association, as VCU is on pace to do, is no small feat. The Rams and first-year coach Anthony Grant do not have a ton of resume wins. This would be a big one. Bradley is on the fringe of the Valley elite and cannot count on an at-large bid. A win over VCU would build some momentum, but the Braves are going to have to go deep in the Valley tournament in order to return to the NCAAs.

Who to watch: Will Franklin is a 6-foot senior guard for Bradley who is shooting 44 percent from three-point range and is the key cog in the Bradley attack. For VCU, balance has been the name of the game in Grant's new Florida-style "freedom" offense. But B.A. Walker is the guy most capable of burning you. Walker has nine 20-point plus games. Honorable mention goes to the Rams' Eric Maynor, who is seventh in the nation in assists.

The Winner: Expect a clean game, as VCU and Bradley rank No. 7 and 8 in the nation respectively in fewest turnovers per game. Both teams are also shooting over 40 percent from three-point range. The difference will be in rebounding, which is something that has hurt Bradley all season. Look for VCU to pick up the needed resume win at home.
                          VCU 77, Bradley 74

Well, at least, a win over us is now being considered a resume win.

                              VCU 77, Bradley 74

With the difference only being 3 points, the writer is basically calling this game even, and simply giving the nod to the home team.

VCU has been losing some games recently, so I think this is a game BU can definitely win!
