SIU in at #20 on the ESPN/USA Today Top 25. However, what is with Creighton not receiving a single vote?!!! What, we can't have more than one team earning votes, let alone ranked? Come on!

I remember last year no one gave the Braves a chance of a NCAA berth leading up to playing a top 25 team on the road late in the season. That win got us on the NCAA map. Another golden opportunity is now at #20 in the poll.

I sent an email to Gottlieb asking why the polls weren't giving the MVC any respect. There were pre-season polls with 1-3 teams in the Top25 and those 3 at the time had ascended to the top (CU, SIU and Mo St). His very short answer to me was:

Because they (the pollsters) don't know which ONE to vote for.

        ?????????????????????

Uh, pollsters, I have an idea: vote for more than one!!! This may be news to you, but you can vote for more than one team out of a Top 5 or 6 RPI conference. Imagine that!

The fact is, Creighton just really isn't all that great. They don't rebound great and have caught decent breaks in other games. Bradley should have beaten Creighton this last time if it wasn't for that fluke 4 minute 3 point barrage with 2 of the players having only a couple 3's all season. Otherwise Bradley would of won by 5-10 points. Southern is a valid team to be ranked way ahead of Creighton.
