Agreed..the ONLY one I would want would be OE. The other two have been somewhat dissapoining IMO. Aren't both Juco's? Its a crap shoot but to get that little out of guys that will be only there for two years would worry me as an ISU fan.

Many Juco's take a year to adjust...so we'll see how these two do.
but here's how destiny sometimes works out better than planned.

Will Franklin was a last minuite recruit with the scholarship that unexpectedly appeared when Rembert and Stemler left.
Had we been dealing only with the scholarships of the guys who graduated, then we'd have never had one to offer Will, and who knows...maybe he'd have ended up at (God forbid) ISU!

Jim likewise got an unexpected scholarship when POB left, and we ended up with Salley-- probably better than taking Dom or Slack!

As I have said before...in his first four years, Jim Les has absolutely used magic or smarts to keep the fine recruits coming, despite the limited power a new coach from BU has on the recruiting trail.

I cite Daniel Ruffin, Patrick O'Bryant, Will Franklin, Tony Bennett, Lawrence Wright, Zach Andrews, Jeremy Crouch, JJ Tauai, Andrew Warren, Matt Salley, and even Danny Adams as nearly a dozen kids Jim has gotten to BU who turned out to be big time players and who I am very happy we have or have had.
Can anyone tell me if any of those players had even ONE other serious offer from a big school, or did JL simply go find the hidden gems and diamonds in the rough?
Now with better recruiting power, I think we'll do even better consistently.
Some of it is luck and some has to be player devlopement. Les didnt really recruit JJ, AL B had more to do with POB, Salley was our 3rd choice and Franklin was our 2nd. DA being this good is amazing, no one would have thought he would contribute like this. Its a credit to Les and this system that maximizes our strengths and talents.
WHOA there Lakeview. I thougtht DA wouold be "this good." In fact, had he been playing 20 minutes a game the last 2 years, once his knee healed. He would have been "this good."
He is a shooter and shooters need to shoot. Playing 5-6 minutes a game, as he did, he could not establish himself. .
Nobody recruited Danny to BU. He recruited himself. He has always wanted to play for BU.
He did receive looks from E-Ville and Army, due to Jim Crews.
I think what Lakeview was trying to say was that coming into this season and not knowing exactly what the 4-guard offense was going to be, there were a lot of questions on how we would score, and who would be scoring. It's no knock on DA, but I don't think that there were too many people thinking he'd be a fairly regular double-digit scorer. Contributor? Yes. Gunslinging long-range marksman capable of going off for 5 or 6 3's at any moment? Probably not. I had my prediction on JC being our leading scorer, and others had predictions of JJ, DR, and WF, but I don't recall many saying that Danny Adams would be knocking in 5 or 6 3's on a semi-regular basis. It's just one of many wonderful suprises of this fun season.
    Onward and Upward!

If you thought that DA was going to average close to 7 points a game while shooting 45% from 3 this year all while only playing 20 minutes a game, then I would like you to but my next lottery ticket because you sir are a profit. His contribution has been nothing short of amazing and is a major reason we are doing as well as we are this year. I would venture to say not even the coaches thought they would get this much production out of DA this year.
      Can we start winning soon?

I was actually a little unhappy when DA said he was coming back for another year. He ended up taking a scholarship, and I figured he would take away minutes from some younger players like Andrew Warren which would hinder their development. He's been quite the surprise this year, and I'm glad he's on the team. I still can't believe how well he's shooting from the 3 point line this year. He wasn't even a 30% career shooter from behind the arc, and had made 23 total 3's in his 3 years. This year he's already made 49 3's and is shooting 45%. Unbelievable.

I guess I will change my username from Grassman to "PROPHET".
Look Everybody is so high on Matt Roth who is averaging 21 pts a game.
In HIS Junior year Danny Adams averqaged 26 pts. a game in the same conference as MAtt Roth.
IN HIS SENIOR YEAR,BEFORE HIS KNEE INJURY,HE WAS AVERAGING OVER 28PTS A GAME.
It does not take a profit OR "PROPHET" to see that Danny Adams can shoot!
