Nice job of reporting.
I enjoyed reading this article by Greg Stewart on BU/ISU and recruiting.
First-- he confirms what a lot of anti-BU people denied, that Bradley DID lose out on some recruits because they played deeper into the postseason last spring and guys like Dom Johnson decided to commit before their offers were snapped up by other recruits.
Second--I think he's blowing Jim Les' comments up too much. I don't think JL meant any disrespect, but Doug Collins jabbed at him when the halftime ceremony ran long.
Third--and I think most intertesting....is the rumor that ISU wants Matt Roth SO bad, that they are rumored to be trying to work a package deal to get Matt Roth, his teammate Sean Johnson, and even Washington head coach Kevin Brown at ISU.
Read the article, and see what they've done-- literally giving Washington head coach Kevin Brown several passes to seats right nehind the Redbird bench and sending the ISU players to Washington High School to work out with Roth.
Now there's the hint ISU might hire Brown as an assistant.!
I can see using this ploy like Kansas did to get Danny Manning or Mario Chalmers, or like Illinois did when they got all the Manual kids...but to use this trick to get a mid-major recruit, albeit a fine one?
Interesting...and thanks Greg Stewart for the nice piece.
