Hey BU fans, just wanted to say congrats on the win. We just cant seem to get it done in big rivalry games these days. You guys and SIU own us. Tonight was a huge game for both teams, a good atmosphere and good crowd of over 9200, and you guys came in and got it done. Congrats. You've swept us 2 straight years. Im sure it feels good.

Also, I do want to tip my cap to all the BU fans who stood and/or cheered for Doug Collins at halftime. Not that I was surprised you did, but I thought it was cool and respectful on your part to applaud a basketball legend like Doug. Thanks for showing some good sportsmanship and genuine respect toward the best player to wear a Redbird uniform.

It was a good game tonight. One of these days we'll figure out how to beat you guys again

Congrats on the win. You have a very good team.

Tks Phantom for some respectfull comments.

I listened to WMBD as they went to D Collins speech... that was sweet to listen to.

I respect ISU and ISU's accomplishments... great night for you guys.

(Sorry BU had to be the spoiler - maybe you shoulda used the UNI or WSU game with a couple nice wins there)

      Good luck!

        Thanks for the compliments Phantom...

I just got home from the game and thought BU played very well. Everybody contributed at one time or another and this was another "team" win.

I also thought ISU did a great job honoring their best player ever. The halftime video was very well done and I thought DC was very grateful for this honor. Sorry BU had to spoil his night

Yeah, thanks phantom. I think the sportsmanship between BU and ISU is a lot better than it was for the past 20 years. Bradley fans for the most part want to see ISU get back to the upper echelon of the MVC.

Bradley fans have their Hersey Hawkins, and Anthony Parker, so we know wht Doug means to ISU. He is a great guy and a credit to his university.

Just got back from the game. Talked to both Quinnie and Mel from the other board before the start. Then we had to sit among the ISU faithful, but it was all good.

ISU jumped us 10 - 0. Had me worried. Then we ended the first half on a sour note as JC lost the handle on a sure two and ISU scored on the other end for a big swing.

Then in the 2nd half as the game was winding down and we were trying to run clock, Danny Adams had to launch a 3 with more arc then normal to get it over the defense. Nothing but net! It was the final dagger. Great win for the Braves and a must win.

            Go Braves.

Thanks for the compliments Phantom. I'm routing for you guys to return to respectibility. Hopefully one of these years we can play each other for the Valley title! That would be fun!

                  Article from BUBraves.com--

NORMAL, Ill. -- Fifth-year senior guard Danny Adams (Metamora, Ill./Metamora H.S.) scored all of his 14 points in the second half and Bradley (16-9, 7-6) completed a regular-season sweep of Interstate 74 rival Illinois State (12-12, 4-9) with its fifth consecutive win in the series, downing the host Redbirds 70-62 Saturday night at Redbird Arena.Bradley center Zach Andrews (Rancho Cordova, Calif./Cordova H.S.) and senior guard Will Franklin (Houston, Texas/Alief Hastings H.S.) shared game-high scoring honors with 15 points.? I'll second phantom's comments. Congrats on the nice win. Again. I'd be lying if I said these losses don't hurt. they do. Getting hammered consistently by our in-state rivals and I-74 Rivals is very tiresome.

It's clear the BU program is light years ahead of ISU at this point and Lord knows when we will ever be able to close the gap.

Congrats on the nice win and the strong squad you guys have. Coach Les is proving to have been a stroke of genius by the guy who hired him. He has become a terrific coach and a 1st class recruiter. He's making the prognosticators look stupid for picking his team 9th in this league. In my opinion with the losses from last year's team, he should win COY in the Valley.

Thanks for helping boost the attendance also. Good luck the rest of thew way. maybe we'll beat you guys in 2-3 years. I don't see it happening until after Williams and Fears leave as they will own the Redbirds as well.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Hey i just wanted to post a couple of quick comments. I was at the game last night, sitting in the upper bowl. Great BU crowd, it's an overwhelming feeling when we go into an opponents building and are louder than them at times.

BU played very well on the road last night, if we had hit a higher percentage of our three's last night that game would have gotten out of hand again.

As for the ZA alley oop.... I don't know how many of you are interested but I actually had a camcorder in the upper bowl and I somehow captured that entire run down the court ending in the oop!! I am going to post it on youtube and i'll give you guys the link. This won't get done until probably tomorrow though becuase I am still on ISU's campus getting ready to watch Da Bears!! I know some of you will probably be interested so I don't mind taking the time to post it!!

                          Go Braves... and Go Bears!!

I was sitting courtside at the game, and JC was right in front of me when he threw the lob to ZA. I had a good look at the whole play and didn't think Zach had any chance to get up that high. He must've been up to the top of the square on the backboard. That was Boogie-esque.

As much as it pains me to say it, last night was my first Braves away game (but definitely not my last). We had seats towards the front of the upper bowl in the Bradley section, but we felt bad about standing and screaming through the whole game, so we relocated to the mass of students towards the back.

While I was a little surprised at how few students made the relatively easy drive to Bloomie, we had a blast (I really hope I get my voice back soon though...). The BU crowd was all kinds of alive last night, and I really hope we were able to do our part to cheer our boys in red on in their victory.
