Expect most of those guys to change their tune after BracketBusters weekend....

BINGO-- I think you hit it on the head.

These talking heads love their Duke's and UNC's, and their BCS guys,
and are not at all fans of the Valley or the mid-majors.
But suddenly when they realize their big, fat paychecks come from the very network
that is promoting these BracketBuster games with the intent to build up interest and get good rating...
then they sorta talk like they actually like the Valley teams.

Does anyone see the hypocrisy to all this?
I might disagree and think Digger is a jerk since he has such a low esteem of the Valley..
but I would accept his right to have that belief.
BUT NOW-- I realize his opinion can be bought with the $$ ESPN pays him,
so that makes him little better than workers in the "world's oldest profession" who will sell anything for $$.
In Digger's case, even his own opinion seems to be for sale. What a loser.

You don't have to convince me. Everytime that goof even looks at the camera (let alone speak), hypocrisy drips off his face!

From Jay Bilas' chat this afternoon:

Nathan, Iowa: How many teams do you see coming out of the MVC?

Jay Bilas: There are six that will be in the discussion: SIU, Creighton, Northern Iowa, Missouri State, Bradley and Wichita State. Not all of them will make it, but it is still possible for all of them.

I have never worked in TV but I would bet they have meetings discussing the content of their shows. The producers will probably make sure that because of the bracketbuster that we need to talk about these games. The Valley along with a couple of East Coast teams and Nevada are most recognizable among the viewers. so lets talk positive about the Valley, discuss the positives about the Valley etc.

That does by no means mean the talking heads believe anything they are saying. I would take Bilas's word a bit more over Diggers but both have to talk up an event that will take up huge hours on a Saturday on the mothership and the other satelite ships.
