  • More BracketBuster Matchups Coming Out Today

Ball State (RPI 245) will play at Illinois State (RPI 124)

** even if ISU wins a home game against Ball State, the 245 RPI will probably NOT help ISU at all, not that they still have much chance of an NCAA bid, but maybe the NIT isn't out of reach, and it still is important for ISU to build their RPI to help the other Valley members.

Wisconsin-MIlwaukee (RPI 236) plays at Drake (RPI 10

Evansville (92) plays at Samford (141)

Northwestern State (155) plays at Tennessee Tech (136)

Loyola, Chicago (125) plays at EIU (324) (bad RPI game for Loyola!

William & Mary (189) plays at Fairfield (256)

Colgate (271) plays at Marist (12 (bad matchup for Marist)

Portland State (215) plays at Cal Poly (22

The Valley bottom feeder games suck for the Valley.

Why the hell isn't Loyola (with an RPI of 124) playing at Illinois St. (with an RPI of 125)???????? Instead Loyola gets the WORST team (EIU) in the BB and ISU gets a Ball St. team that's 100 spots below them in the RPI.

Drake also got the BIG screwjob playing a Wisc-Milwaukee team that's a 120 spots below them in the RPI. Indiana St. and UE got bad games too. The BB games in all likelyhood will drop the Valley's SOS down which will result in a drop in the MVC's overall power rating. Pretty sad!!

Even worse, you are obligated to play them next year even if they suck even worse and have an RPI>300.

Marist should riot. These are the type of situations that should provide you a chance to play out of a potential 16 seed in the tournament.

And how in God's name do you get EIU if you're Loyola-Chi. Disgraceful.

          BB needs to end.

            More:

The local newspaper at Des Moines is a little bit unfamiliar with UW-M, and calls them UW- Wisconsin

Louisiana Tech (221) at Southeast Missouri State (SEMO) (292)

Utah State (73) at ORU (96)

I am not into chasing conspiracys, but it looks like someone has thought this through and is out to make the MVC's SOS worse to lower the overall league's rpi? Could I be right?

George: I think Doug Elgin should certainly bring this to ESPNs attention!
