  • Salley

I have to admit my mistake. I saw someone early in the year (About game 7 or 8 ) after Salley had a good game say he was a monster where did they get him. I almost responded that I thought he was a week link on the team and would only fill in because of his size. I was wrong he has been a big contributor. He seems to be improving as he gains confidence. I am glad we have him.

I love Matt Salley and agree he has been a huge contributor, however I hope he can keep his head in the game more. I feel like he loses focus at times and that can cause him to miss plays or make bad decisions. I really hope Salley can work on that, and he maybe better than ZA next year.

It was only one game but last night I liked MS over Slack......in total game....it could be a different game overthere but MS made me Proud last night....and he alone is the reason for the boost in ZA's game.....he takes up space for ZA to get on with his game! MS........Proud to have you in uniform as a Brave!

What took so long for the MS/ZA tandem....maybe MS had to get more comfortable...I dunno but I like seeing them start out together.

Takes pressure of ZA and can help limit the other team from establishing a huge low block advantage.

Oh yeah..it also helps when the "banks" stay open past 5pm

Will Franklin taught him that technique.

Yea... and Slack got the T for taunting... and as soon as I heard the whistle, saw the T... I was looking right at Salley and he had a similar look on his face like Boogie (like he didn't hear a word that was said).

I don't care for that taunting crap.

I thought it was going to go on Salley. From my seat I thought I saw Salley kind of reach over and poke at or slap Slack or at the ball. It appeared that Slack retaliated and got busted for 2nd man in.

Care to detail exactly what the taunting was? From the student section, though I was near the court, it was very hard to tell what was happening down there.

All I know, (and echoed by the PA) the T was for taunting.

Slack was trash talking at Salley when B.U. was taking the ball out of bounds on the ISU end of the court and Salley was just smiling at him; the T. happened at the other end of the court during the same play.

I was pretty close but I could not hear what he said. It was after Slack put a pretty good move on MS. The official gave the T right away and then said something to Slack.

Matt is passing very well and that 10'-12' jumper of his doesn't scare me anymore. It has been great to watch him improve. I am sure the extra PT with JC out has helped.

Ditto.....JL said all along that Matt "graded out" well on the tapes early in the season even though he didn't look well to many of us. JL saw he had some skills. SOmetimes it takes Juco's a bit of time to get used to D1 just like a freshman...we've all seen it take SOME a full year (Rabey).

Look for CONTINUED improvement from MS and a real good senior campaign. He could allow us to rs Thompson if needed.

Matt Salley just took most of the non-conf. season to get used to the speed of D1 ball. He fits perfectly into our team concept, and has really been a bright spot on the team since mid-December. He's never going to be one of Bradley's superstars, but if other teams forget about him, he'll make them play. He's found a great role on this team.

Bradley needs to get about 15-20 points between MS and ZA in order to compete in most games. The good part about that is that MS and ZA are both capable of putting up over 15 points on the board on any given night.

Matt Salley must be a customer of the "Better Banks"

Matt Salley is just amazing. Not only is he playing well but he's playing with a chipped bone in his hand. He's just a beast!!
