  • Is 6-2 Out of the Question?

Eight game left, 4 at home.
The way BU is playing, we can go 4-0 in the home games.
Then are wins at 2 of the away games too unreasonable?
We still play at MSU, ISU, Evansville, and SIU.
If Bradley wins two of the road games and all four at home, they will finish 21-9, plus factor in the Bracket Buster.
A couple wins in the MVC Tourney, and we have the chance to finish headed into selection Sunday with 22-24 wins.
    Who'd 'a thunk it?

Is it out of the question? No. Will it happen? I sure wouldn't bet against this team! Especially on our home floor...

"Who'd 'a thunk" our top scorer and one of the better defenders on the team would go down and we'd still be crushing teams?

"Who'd 'a thunk" that we still have a legitimate shot at winning the conference title (especially if we can win 3 of 4 biggest games left - CU, UNI at home and MSU, SIU on the road) ... ever this year?!
    Go Braves!

i think that is completely reasonable. We played great last night and we cannot continue to come out flat to start the second half like we have the past few games. if we play our road games like we did at indiana state, i see no reason why we cannot win @ isu and evansville, take the bracket buster and possibly take one from siu or msu. i said before last nights game that i could see us going 7-3 possible 8-2 for the last ten. it could be wishful thinking, but with crouch coming back and if the salley and andrews tandem continue to excel the way they have the last few games, we could become very scary for opponents, and i like that thought

There are only nine scheduled, regular season games remaining, however, BU will play at least ONE game in the MVC Tournament, so that makes 10 more games.
However, I would love to be the only team in the conference that does not end its MVC season with a loss!

Of course I am pulling for our guys to finish the Valley season winning all eight but realistically, I won't be disappointed if we go 6-2.
Even a 5-3 finish will give BU 11-7 in the Valley, likely good enough for 3-4th, and 21-22 wins if you count BB and maybe a win in St. Louis.

Let's just win 'em all and leave no doubt. There are times when this team looks unbeatable, such as the last 2 games, and really 3 of the last 4.
              Onward and Upward!

I'm with ya Mike.....this would be one of the biggest regular season wins in the JL era IMO. OTOH a loss won't kill us. To me that sounds like NO pressure.

This is the year to make a run.....the Braves cannot let anyone SWEEP them....we owe MS a Loss at their place......and then it would really set us up for the Big Picture.....TOP 3 Valley finish! All we have to do is start out fast....they are on a 3 game losing streak....time to take it to 4!

                          this year's team

Be it that we are one game ahead of our pace from last year. Do you guys think that this team is better overall? individual talent is perhaps less than a couple players from last year's squad, but that doesn't mean less success as a team. Seems to me that this year's bunch is better balanced w/ the scoring. what do you all think?

They seem to have played better as a TEAM all year. Last that didn't start until later in the season
