I think that would be a great move to get Crouch on staff. He says he wants to coach in a final four, and as a fellow history major (2 classes together this semester ) I think he has the right kind of brain to pull it off.

Coach Bish would be hard to replace. I think Jimmy has learned alot from him. Seems almost like a father/son relationship. Does little Bish have the potential to replace his old man?
I've heard that CB is considering retirement after the season ends. IMO, he has been a real difference maker for JL and the team since his "official" arrival on the hilltop.
I know this is getting way, way ahead of things, but with how intelligent of a basketball mind he is, would Les/BU consider hiring Jeremy Crouch as an assistant after he graduates next year? I know Dave Snell always plays up that "Crouch is going to be one heck of a coach someday." Being a local kid, it'd make sense??

This may never happen, but what do you think about that?
I think it would be great if former BU players became asst. coaches, if that is in the long-term best interest of the program.

It certainly hasn't hurt Duke or Coach K to have his former players stay on and/or return as asst. coaches!

I hope that's not true. If he is considering it, I have a feeling JL could scale back some of his duties and perhaps talk him into sticking around. JL is a heck of a salesman, and Chuck is the kind of guy who can't just sit around and do nothing. I think he's having a lot of fun being around the program and this group.

I think we have the right man at the helm.
I have thought that since the day it was announced he'd been hired. I also thought that the day the last guy was hired.
I believe in our guys and support them virtually unconditionally.
I trust JL to do the right thing even if someone leaves our staff and needs to be replaced.

I have to admit I am impressed with Coach Les, at the beginning of last season I really thought he should probably be shown the door. Even last season only slightly impressed me, however what he has done this season is stil unbelievable to me. He took the talent he had and completely changed his gameplan to make them competitive, nothing like he ran the season before. As a person who really was not a JL fan 2 years ago, he has really won me over, I'm not going to say he's great or amazing, but I deffinitely think he is the right choice for the team right now.

There was a series last nite where ISU came down and BU was man to man...time out, BU comes out in zone and ISU looks lost....next series BU presses.......next time down BU right back to man to man. I loved it.

He threw THREE different looks at em in less then 2 minutes and they had NO answer.

I also loved that ISU was dead set at stoppin the three...OK we'll just pick and roll ya to death. OK (ISU) need to stop that...BU response.."Its raining three's"

The entire nite was just a thing of beauty.

As far as the Braves are concerned...I can't think of any other person I'd rather have coaching @ Bradley right now ....or in the future......It is a bonus to have JL back on the Hilltop and with the current staff the future is very bright! Strap into yours seats Braves fans.....it's going to be a fun-filled ride this year and for years to come!

BU made an investment in JL and it has paid off big time.

I thnk Mr. Broski deserves a lot of credit for being willing to take a chance with JL.

Now that it has worked out successfully for both sides, we need to make sure that JL stays here a long time.

then I think you are a very honest and fair fan who has been convinced. I don't have any problem that you were skeptical and needed to see evidence to be convinced.....but
I find it hard to believe there are still people taking swipes at Jim Les.
In case you don't know who I mean, I can show you.
Simply because I am likely the most high profile, unapologetic, and vocal BU fan on any of the local message boards, I still get Private Messages quite regularly from others who snipe at the team, rip on the players, and criticize the coach, and generally they lay into me as well. You've probably seen a few on the other board, one of whom seems to never cease coming back with a new name every couple weeks.
I am not complaining, since none of it has ever bothered me enough to give a dang, except to wonder what kind of bitterness some people must harbor if they claim to be a BU fan and yet still rip into the team for every minor fault, literally every turnover.
If you don't believe such people still exist, lurking in the background and waiting for BU to lose a couple or blow a big lead somewhere, then they'll be back...then let me know and I'll show you a couple of the e mails and PM's I have.

Tornado I don't doubt that people still rip on JL, for a lot of people it's easier to criticize and badger rather than give someone credit, especially when then didn't believe in a person from the beginning. To be honest though, I don't theres much question any longer about JL's ability and his performance this year speaks for itself.

Just as classy as you when you were beating up on JL on a daily basis using the pile on technique, sometimes the truth hurts doesn't it.....
Of course you never piled on or beat up another BU coach? We all know if JL ever said he believe in God in public you would turn on him in an instant.
