  • ESPN Bubblewatch gives Valley Love

Is this a nod to the Valley as a High Major? Seems like they really had little choice but to admit we deserve to be in the discussion with the BCS conferences.

      The way I see it:

      SIU
      Missouri State
      Creighton

With the last spot being a hard choice between:

      Bradley
      UNI

If we win this Saturday, it will give us more of a foothold, but if we lose and things to right for UNI we're out. I dunno about their SoS though. How much does that factor?

I think the valley will get four teams in. I also think that UNI has a much stronger case than Missouri St. I feel like SIU, CU, and UNI are probably locks.

Missouri St's only real claim to fame is beating Wisconsin... but they're now 5-5 in the MVC, while UNI had a decent non-conference performance with their only bad conference game being a loss at home to CU...

I think SIU is really the only team that is pretty much in the tourney without any doubts at this point. They would have to play themselves out.

The crowd of CU, UNI, MSU, and BU (maybe slightly WSU) are fighting for the other spots and still have to play their way into the tourney. 8 games of the conference season and a BB game is still a lot of basketball to be played.

That's a good point. We've seen WSU fall apart that way.

Granted there is a long long ways to go but I think

              SIU is in.

CU is in if they continue to win road games which means wins at both BU and SIU, I dont think they will get both. Assume they win out at home and at ISU and Drake they will sit at 19 wins, They probably will need one of those roads to secure anything prior to the tourney.

UNI - they have 5 roads left including at BU CU and at Eville. They also have WSU and MSU at home they are far from any lock for anything.

BU well we have the next 3 of 4 on the road including MSU SIU and at ISU with CU at home we hold serve and go 2-2 then win out at home assume at lose at Eville then we are at 20-10 the BB could be huge but of course if we can get one/two road wins we might really have a great shot at an atlarge assuming we win one in the tourney.

WSU 4 roads and 5 home roads include at CU and at Eville and UNI and at Drake, they also still have SIU and MSU at home. They have to get hot hot hot 7-1 will get them to 20-8 not including any BB game. They might have to get that hot and win 2 in the tourney for atlarge considerations.
