  • Ranking the MVC teams

Hello Braves fans. Let me start off by saying that I am not a Bradley fan and that I have only seen them play one game all season (a hard fought loss to Illinois). The reason I am here is because there is no group of people in the world that know the Bradley hoops team better than you all. You've all seen every game, know the Braves' strengths and weaknesses and have a decent idea of how well they can do this season.

I play in a fantasy sports community called www.PROTRADE.com where users can buy and sell college hoops teams like stocks (or MLB, NFL or NBA players). I am here because yesterday they had the IPO for all the MVC teams I am want to know if Bradley is a good buy or not. I've already hit up the Creighton message board, but like any good trader, I am looking for every advantage I can get to help me with my "portfolio". Illegal insider information? Naw... it's free and I'm just playing for pride (and a plasma TV). I'm here to get the help of the people who actually know how good the Braves are.

Bradley is trading at $73 right now. Price is made up of the teams total regular season wins, conference tournament wins and NCAA tournament wins. If they win 17 regular season games, 3 conference games, make the tournament and win one game before getting knocked out, the stock would be worth $96 bucks.

What do you think, Braves fans? Are they a good buy? Here is how the rest of the MVC teams compare, and please let me know if you guys feel that somewhere in the rankings there is money to be made. Thanks for the help!

    1. Salukis ($101)
    2. Bears ($99)
    3. Bluejays ($75)
    4. Braves ($73)
    5. Panthers ($72)
    6. Shockers ($71)
    7. Sycamores ($52)
    8. Bulldogs ($44)
    9. Aces ($42)
    10. Redbirds ($37)

We will allow this post one time for the sake of any Bradley fans interested in this kind of fantasy stuff.

But the board guidelines don't allow any advertising for other websites, especially commercial sites, and gambling sites (I would consider this a form of gambling).

I welcome BU fans to post their opinions of these kinds of sites.

I apologize. I will not post on here again, but I am simply looking for information on Bradley because they aren't exactly talked about on Sportscenter every night. I have never seen a website that projects teams through the rest of the season, so I thought I would ask the fans for their thoughts. Again, sorry for breaking the rules and this will be my last thread on this board.

By the way, that site is totally free to use and is based in California, and is a fantasy sports site, not a gambling site.

Interesting concept. Kenpom's site projects out a team schedule.

As far as the Valley goes, pick the home team to win and you'll win 90% of the time.

As far as Bradley goes, they will get to 17 regular season wins. Winning games in St. Louis is another story. Winning a game in the NCAA tournament is a stretch right now.

Well, I think many will agree here that Bradley has a favorable schedule to finish up the MVC. Somebody said we have only 1 road game left against someone ahead of us in the standings (and that is at SIU). Our other road games are against teams below us (not that it means we will win those games).

Collegrpi.com does a projected RPI using the figures from the formula to predict games... by NO MEANS fool proof. But they project SIU to go 8-2 (starting with today's game with UNI), Mo St to go 7-2 and BU to go 7-2. It projects SIU to finish 14-4 in the MVC with an RPI of 19. They are followed by a projected 4-way tie for 2nd at 12-6 by Mo St, BU, CU and UNI.

For the price, I think Bradley isn't too bad of a buy... considering we may get a healthy Jeremy Crouch back to the lineup very soon.

          Yea - BUY!

I guess I would also like to know who else is trading for around $73 in the rest of DivI.

How big of an impact could the return of Jeremy Crouch have on Bradley? Would his return mean they have one of the best chances to win the MVC?

As much as Jeremy means to this team, BU's success and to the fans, we here at Bradleyfans.com know how tough the MVC REALLY is and I don't think you are gonna get anybody to say that here.

Good luck in your fantasy endeavors. I would like to try that game out but I imagine I need to wait til next season to have any shot at anything.

I personally would not do anything with BU until after Feb 7th at SIU.

                    After ISU at home
                    we go to MSU
                    home to Creighton
then to ISU and to SIU

Anything on the road in this conference is a complete toss up as is most home games.

Gd point Houston... that could be a rough 1-3 stretch if you just go with the home teams.
