I would think that SIU has to be the favorite at this point to win the Valley. They have only played 3 home games, and have split 3-3 on the road so far. Big game tomorrow night UNI @ SIU.

I am not sure who I'd root for in that one.
We already have a win over SIU but it would be nice for them to lose a home game.
But UNI is a game ahead of everyone, and a loss by them brings them back into the pack.

I agree....SIU is in great position to win the Valley.

As much as I hate to say it....I'll be pulling for them to beat UNI and give everyone at least three losses. Not to mention, I think it would be better for the Valley as a whole to have SIU sitting on top rather than UNI.

I will take the liberty of updating this topic to show the standings as of Wednesday morning, Jan. 24:

          ______________Valley___Home___Away____All
          Southern Illinois...7-3........4-0.......3-3......16-5
          Northern Iowa.....6-3........4-1.......2-2......15-5
          Creighton...........6-3........4-1.......2-2......12-7
          Missouri State.....5-4........3-1.......2-3......14-6
          Bradley............5-4........3-1.......2-3.....14-7
          Indiana State......4-4........3-1.......1-3......11-7
          Evansville...........4-5........4-1.......0-4......11-9
          Wichita State......3-6........3-1.......0-5......12-8
          illinois state........3-6........3-3.......0-3......11-9
          Drake.................2-7........2-2.......0-5......11-9

If BU wins and Missouri State wins at home Wednesday against Creighton, it will create a massive logjam at the top of the Valley.
There will be FIVE teams within ONE GAME of the Valley lead, and the Valley race will look like this:

          ______________Valley
          Southern Illinois...7-3
          Northern Iowa.....6-3
          Creighton...........6-4
          Missouri State.....6-4
          Bradley............6-4

          How will it end up?
BU and MSU finished strong last year and UNI & Creighton faded down the stretch. Any predictions for this year?

Anyone besides me, who if offered before the season,
would have said "I'll take it"
if you were offered for Bradley to be within ONE GAME of the Valley lead 10 games into the season?
