Last night (Wednesday 11/14), Robert Morris of the Northeast Conference annihilated the Mount Aloysius College Mounties (Division III) by 47 points, 104-57. But what was significant is that Robert Morris starter Josh Williams played 31 minutes, way more than any other player, and launched 26 shots, 25 of which were three pointers, and he made 15 of 25 to tie a 22 year old NCAA record of 15 made three pointers in a game.
So tonight, just 1 day later, Furman beat another hapless opponent, the North Greenville University Crusaders (Division II) by 40 points, 107-67.
In this game, Furman starting guard Jordan Lyons was kept in the game for 33 minutes, way more than any other player, and he launched 35 shots, 34 of which were three pointers. He made 15 of 34 three pointers to again tie the record. Yeah for him!
