Terrible loss. Don’t really expect a W in Cancun. Way better competition than lowly UIC. I hope I’m wrong.

Bradley did not QUIT - SMU First REAL Test
Against UIC the Braves did not quit. So many other teams would have and the Braves when coached by Ford would have also. The Braves showed True Grit their first time as visitors chipping away at the lead. It's a sign of a maturing team. The Braves CAN NOT have a first half like they did against UIC when they play SMU. Everyone knows this - the coaches, the team, and the fans. Go BRAVES this Tuesday and Wednesday. Let's remind SMU Tim Jankovich - "just like old times when his teams lost to the Braves ".
What is the word regarding when Boya can play. Bar was having an off game and the Braves sure could have used Boya.

Last night was evidence "The Arrival" hasn't quite touched down yet.
I was enjoying the undefeated start, even against cupcakes, and wasn't ready for a reality check quite yet. If the first loss would have come in Cancun, well, so be it. Now Cancun will be even more of a reality check. If we win two, then we've adjusted course and are back on the road to "The Arrival." If we split, the verdict is still out. If we drop both, Carver stays only half-full, if that.
Enjoy the trip, Braves. Take care of business on the court, and make "The Arrival" back in Peoria a very happy one!Yajusneverno!

I am not trying to make excuses for the loss last night. There were some things we obviously have to do better. But I believe the loss of Ari Boya has derailed "The Arrival" a bit. I believe Bradley would have won the game if Boya was healthy and had played.
With Koch Bar limited to just 16 minutes, and only producing 4 points & 3 rebounds, and Ja'Shon Henry not contributing much (2 pts, 2 reb), Bradley ended up being outrebounded by UIC despite them playing a 4-guard lineup the whole game, and despite the fact that UIC has been outrebounded by an average of nearly 10 rebounds per game in their previous games.
And UIC scored 30 of their points in the paint, something that likely wouldn't have happened if Koch had been able to stay on the floor, or if we had Ari Boya playing.
I think we'll be OK when we get Boya back. UIC is actually a pretty good team, and they will win a lot of games at home.
