  • Valley games Tuesday November 13

Valley record stands at 11-8 (we were 17-2 at this point last season)

but ISU should pick up a non-conference win for the MVC tonight

Here are the games scheduled Tuesday nite...

-Chicago State at ISU 7pm on NBCSports Chicago (the old Comcast/Chicago)
    -Drake at Colorado 7pm

would love to see Drake give Colorado a run in Boulder......but they are the underdogs (14 point underdog) to Colorado
but Colorado is coming off a strangely close, 66-57 win over Colorado School of Mines who then went on to lose to Lubbock Christian.

but the ISU game, they had better win that one - they are currently a 24 point favorite..
Chicago State lost by 49 to Indiana and by 41 to Central Michigan

Nice, but a little early for that.
There are still some D1 teams that haven't played any games yet, and quite a few that have not played a D1 opponent yet such as Valpo, who is shown on that image 2 spots below Bradley. Their only game was a blowout win over Concordia University Chicago, a D3 team that is possibly the worst team in any NCAA division.

2 minutes into the game Yarbrough goes down and comes off to the bench limping with an apparent ankle injury...

in the Drake game at Colorado - Drake has taken nine shots so far and 8 of them are 3-pointers
they are 3-8 and tied right now at 9-9 against Colorado

Yarbrough is back on the court now with no signs of anything limiting him.

Muller has played nine guys so far - but previous starter Williams Tinsley has not gotten off the bench yet...
So he must not be getting it done in practice...

then Fayne goes to the bench with his 3rd foul with 7 minutes left in the 1st half
and now Muller has gone to a 4-guard lineup- Jefferson, Gassman, Evans, Copeland & Idowu

ISU 39 - Chicago State 29 at half - closer then I thought it would be since, remember, Chicago State trailed Central Michigan by 29 and Indiana by 21 at half..

Colorado finished the 1st half on a 15-2 run to take a 45-34 halftime lead

Chicago State back to within 4 pts

Drake now down by 20 - big man Liam Robbins played a total of 3 minutes & picked up 4 fouls
Colorado has already gone to the FT line 23 times & there's almost 1/3 of the game left to go

wow- Colorado up by 27, 74-47
Drake giving up 63% FG shooting and 50% 3-pt shooting
Colorado got the 10th most votes in the Pac-12 preseason poll and as I noted elsewhere, they just barely edged Colorado School of Mines by single digits in their only other game

and over in Normal- Chicago State is ahead 63-62 with 5 min to go
..if they lose this game then all that bragging about how great their non=-onference schedule is goes down the drain...

Yarbrough drains a long 3 to tie
at 70-70 with 1:30 to go
