They were 7-11 from 3-pt in the 2nd half including 4-5 in a 3:20 stretch at the end of the game...

that's all that kept them close but we always had an answer to keep them from getting within 2 possessions....

our big men have been playing well.....

I’m really excited to pair a healthy Ari Boya with KB and EC. That’s going to be a matchup nightmare come Valley time! Not at the same time of course

Shot the ball really well and played our normal tough defense and came away with a W. JSU will end up being one of the better teams that came to Peoria this year. I am a little surprised that I'm saying this but why didn't we try to get the ball to Koch in the 2nd half. He had his best half EVER on both end of the court in the 1st half and it's like he didn't exist in the 2nd half. He was decisive and aggressive to the basket, things I've criticized him for in his first 2 years. Also happened in Game 1. Hopefully he'll be able to do it against better competition. 3-0 feels pretty good.

I did notice that JSU adjusted their defense a little and played guys in front of and behind Koch to try to prevent him from getting the ball close to the basket in the second half. That gave Elijah Childs some higher percentage chances, and he scored 11 of his 15 points in the 2nd half. Childs also had 7 of his 9 rebounds in the 2nd half. It's nice have a couple big guys who to know how to score in the low post, and we'll soon get Ari Boya back, who can add to that. That has been a weakness for Bradley for many years, except the POB/Zach Andrews years.

That in itself is a very sad statement if JSU is one of the best non-con home game you have this year. That being said, I thought the bigs looked pretty good as well. This team will go as far as their outside shooting will take them.
Cheering with pep and vim for the white and purple!

While I agree that the non conference schedule is lackluster, why is that a sad statement? The Gamecocks won 23 games last year and returned most of their scoring. While they don??™t have the name appeal that??™s a pretty decent get. They likely will be a 20 win team again this year despite the 0-3 start.

ISU fans just taking the opportunity to criticize Bradley's schedule after years of cupcake-filled schedules under Jankovich and Muller cost them lots of opportunities for at-large bids when they were winning 20+ games.

Although I agree their schedule was bad for years we deserve criticism for this schedule. It is really poor. I know scheduling is difficult but others inthe conference and other mid majors did better. We need to do better.

Was our best game of the season - we could surely play better, but that will come.
I love the depth of this team.
When A-Pitt and Hodgson only play 15 minutes, that tells you something.
Both are very solid. I expected both would average 25 minutes or so, but they have become nice role players.

Childs is pretty fun to watch and has become a beast in the paint.
Not sure why fans thought Bar was a liability - he is a junior now and we should expect this kind of play from him - think he's toughened mentally some, which is what he needed.
