the first 6-8 minutes of each half were awesome ..
then when we started to go with other matchups, specifically when we took either Childs or bar out, then they seemed to take advantage..
I liked what I saw from Bar, Childs, DLO and the defense from Pittman

Tornado, you??™re right. I went back and watched the first 10 min of each half... total domination! I guess it??™s all about extending those efforts by about another 10 min each!
      Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

An ok effort for the 1st game of the season. Not gonna be probably any more times that both Brown and Nate are held scoreless in the 1st half and we're leading by 12. Did like Koch and his aggressiveness on the offensive end. Will definitely need to play better on Saturday. Just a few other random thoughts. Not a fan of the new set up behind the north basket. Just doesn't look right to have what looks like a bar area behind one of the baskets. Just could have taken over the Hy-Vee Red Zone area by the students and you wouldn't have lost a lot of seats that people sat in. And can someone explain to me why there is no guest internet access at the Civic Center. I've not been to any arena, high school, college and pro, that I haven't been able to get access to the internet. I like checking out other games, see what the weather is doing and be in the chat room during the game and for whatever reason that access is not available. Very disappointing.

before the game and at half, the Braves Club area was packed... many times more than you would usually see in the Braves Club room when if was upstairs from the lobby...
so I think the move of the venue is so far quite successful

Agree with you on the new set up. It??™s a basketball game, not a night club.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

              Braves Club Lounge Area

The Braves Club Lounge area is a good idea BUT it doesnt work very well for us old folks who have trouble with the arena stairs when there are no railings to hang on to. The elevator near Sect. 12 is useless since using it involves max walking around the arena to get to the lounge.
I like the suggestion of using the Hy-Vee student area which is empty for almost every game and turning it into a Braves Club Lounge Area. Its much easier to get to and the current lounge area could be turned into more seats.
The biggest improvement that could be made IMO would be to install hand rails in the lower bowl aisles.
