  • NCAA new rating system

    The NCAA announced a few months ago they were developing their own new rating system (called the NET- the NCAA Evaluation Tool) to replace the RPI in evaluation the strength of teams that will apply to the at-large bids in the postseason tournament.

    Today, they sent this summary out to all the Division I teams-

    there's already tweets and comments from people in the coaching profession that this is bogus...
    too complex, to impossible to understand or figure out and too vague - referring only to scores & algorithms that they won't reveal....
    ...and likely it's just a charade for the Committee being able to pick whoever they want per their own bias and not have to justify it any further

      Then these coaches need to start getting together and demand that the NCAA start being fair and reasonable. Apparently the NCAA are not asking an opinion of on how to set this up. They are just talking to a select few then shoving it down the throats of everyone else. When can we get Dr. Reynolds or the President on here to answer what is going on and what they intend to do about it
