Bruninga out 2 months

Muller just got done saying that even tho Bruninga has been bothered by discomfort in his left foot for 11 weeks,
they were still running him an hour every practice because "That's one spot we don't have a lot of depth".
.....now he's out for 2 months - really tough break for him..
but then, this team is the deepest team Muller ever had so no concern...

It leaves a thin front line even thinner for ISU. They only have two forwards on their roster now- Phil Fayne and freshman Rey Idowu.
Bruninga has had a "stress reaction" in his left foot for the past 11 weeks-
He was in a walking boot for a while, but recently has been practicing with the team. Kurt Pegler's tweet says he now has a "newly-diagnosed stress fracture that will keep him out until Christmas". I wonder if it is the same foot that has progressed to a fracture, or is it a completely new injury?

agree- Taylor has had more than his share of injuries...
Back in high school he had an injury that cost him almost a full season..
then he played injured last year - missing several games with a concussion..
then the injury this summer and re-injury now...
He's played more games than Chastain but both seem to have had more than their fair shares of injuries, but if you recall - on both of them--
one of the things that held back their recruitment was their slight build and lack of exposure to really tough competition..

This article by ISU beat writer Jim Benson from tonight reports that Taylor Bruninga's stress fracture is in a different bone in his left foot than the earlier stress reaction that he has been battling for about 3 months.
Benson also reports that Milik Yarbrough will not play Tuesday night in ISU's exhibition game against Lewis University as discipline for his recent legal problems, though he has not missed any practices. So it seems Dan Muller has decided that invoking a little discipline might be a good idea once in a while. But I am confident that the discipline is only for this meaningless exhibition game, and Yarbrough will not miss any real games.
