SIU commit Evan Taylor - who hasn't signed yet with SIU but is planning to Saturday, seems (per his sm) to think Bloomington's Chris Payton is going to pick SIU

In addition to SIU, Chris Payton has Valparaiso in his final four choices - but Valpo's head coach says he does NOT expect to sign anyone this fall

but even tho ISU lost out on Payton, there are rumors they are about to sign another recruit who is a DUNKING MACHINE...

We are now just four weeks away form the Letter of Intent signing period...
Bradley expects one letter (Rienk Mast) but we should hear before then if any other scholarships become available.

But the NLI signing period is Wednesday, April 17 through May 15, 2019

recruiters can attend AAU events and recruit kids during open periods and observe kids they are interested in and recruiting at (nonscholastic events (AAU events)
This April open period gives coaches an early chance to go to such events and this is a new thing on the NCAA recruiting calendar:

"New four-day recruiting period April 29-May 2 to allow coaches to contact or evaluate recruits immediately following
the April 26-28 nonscholastic events evaluation period" -

but the letter of Intent signing period is for the kids who have already committed and who want to sign a LOI.

BUT what coaches are mad about is that they are now severely restricted in the dates they can go to AAU events and evaluate
the recruits - of course the BIG SCHOOLS often get the pick of the litter and can also recruit the Top-100 camps
but mid-majors have to really scout & dig to get good players and this new restriction to just 4 days in April is
a plan by NCAA to make sure the smaller schools have less chance to steal some kid..
