maybe time to start talking about Bradley's great Cross Country success....
our Men's & Women's teams finished 1 & 2 at the big Illini Open beating out Big Ten & Big East squads

What's more impressive - Bradley's top two men finishers are freshmen and top four are Freshmen/sophomores...
Bradley's top woman was a freshman and 4 of their top 5 were either freshmen of sophomores!!

Congrats to the Braves!! Unprecedented success in all our fall athletic teams!

This may have been Glasser/Cross' only quality coaching hire. Of course Elvis appears to finally be panning out in baseball as well.

agree - in a way - so won't rehash the whole story but...

The current Cross Country head coach Darren Gauson
came to Bradley in August of 2015, long after Glasser was gone-
he is a hire by Chris Reynolds
PEORIA — Darren Gauson, who has swept the Southland Conference men’s and women’s cross country coach-of-the-year awards in each of the last two years, was named the head coach of the Bradley men’s an…

As for baseball 10 consecutive years of not competing for any championships,
never finishing at the top of the MVC, never better than 3rd place (tie), averaging 6-7th in an 8-team league!, and not even finishing in the upper half of the Valley for all but a year or two of that decade - and never more than a game or two over .500, and overall record (69-139 in the Valley!) that is truly terrible - still would have gotten most head coaches fired...
but... his contract situation that was handed to him prevented that and he is finally developing into a better coach & recruiter so let's hope he can continue to improve in a weaker league that no longer has three perennially strong teams (Wichita, Creighton, UNI)

Unbelievable what Gauson (and Carol Price-Torok in VB) have done. And like with volleyball, the bulk of the talent are underclass athletes who will be around for 1, 2, or 3 more years. I have to believe there will be higher level programs that will soon show interest in our VB and XC coaches.

And what does it say about our athletic program, and our great AD that finally we are seeing the successes in the major sports, as well as in the non-revenue sports that we should have seen years ago with the new athletic facilities, and the tremendous support that Bradley has! We are clearly on the right track now! Go Braves!

How long can Bradley expect to hold on to these coaches? Certainly there will be bigger $chool$ calling soon.

definitely could happen but we don't see it as much in the non-money sports -
we've been able to hang onto Jim DeRose even when he's had some great seasons & led us to the Elite Eight
