JaMir Price is currently a senior at Rock Island HS, however I have found out that he will do a year at a prep school in 2019-20, and then enroll and join Bradley for the 2020-21 school year.
He is developing into a very good player, and the coaches believe they are fortunate to get a commitment now and believe he will have a very good senior season, and would have probably gotten a lot of other offers.
Also, the coaches believe he has very good point guard skills as well as being a good shooter, and he will work further on those skills and be able to play point guard backing up Antonio Thomas at Bradley.

Again we see him playing the point a bit, and knocking down several long jumpers. I think he looks pretty good in this video!
The scant video we have available reminds me a lot of Antoine Pittman. If he goes prep for a year and Pittman stays for his redshirt senior season, it would be like he is essentially replacing him on the roster.

Bradley has one visiting recruit this coming weekend, and is still hoping to land another commitment for 2019, possibly this weekend!
I haven't seen him play in person, but if he really does go to prep and is as good as being suggested, I think that hurts chances he ever makes it to BU. I would rather him redshirt a year if he feels he isn't ready.
I like it. With the graduate transfer rule in place now a voluntary redshirt is a bad idea, because the player will likely graduate by junior year and can transfer anywhere without sitting out. That's not the case with a year of prep school. Plus, if god forbid the player gets injured the redshirt is still available to use. Sure he can change his mind before coming here but any player can change their mind.

From what I know, JaMir is solidly committed, and excited about coming to Bradley. I do not think it is likely he'd renege. But of course, that could always change. Heck, it could just as easily happen with any recruit, even ones who have signed NLI's (Anthony Grundy), and even with scholarship players (Danny Granger, Joah Tucker, etc.)
